New York Knicks vs. Atlanta Hawks Game 4 Preview, Picks & Odds for Saturday, April 25, 2026
Game 4 between the New York Knicks (1-2) and Atlanta Hawks (2-1) is scheduled for 6 p.m. Eastern on Amazon Prime. Only 4.4% of NBA teams have won the series when trailing 3-1, so New York has to take Game 4 on the road.
Knicks vs. Hawks Betting Analysis
New York was outscored by 23 points during the 14 minutes that Karl-Anthony Towns rested in Game 3 largely because Atlanta kept Mitchell Robinson off the glass. If he’s not vacuuming offensive rebounds, the court becomes cramped inside the arc and often leads to the Knicks taking low-quality triples.
Mikal Bridges going scoreless across 20 minutes before being benched certainly did not help. He’s now averaging seven points per game with an even assist-to-turnover ratio through three games. Bridges is so passive on offense that he’s frequently invisible for long stretches, but the coaching staff also deserves a small portion of the blame for not running more plays for him. Even if the Knicks manage to win this series, they are not making an NBA Finals run unless Bridges drastically improves as a scorer.
Atlanta moving on from the Trae Young era looks like a masterstroke, especially since CJ McCollum was the main piece in return. The veteran is relentlessly hunting Jalen Brunson and torching the Knicks to the tune of 27 points per game. It’s worth noting that McCollum passed Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins in career playoff points.
Acquiring Jonathan Kuminga at the trade deadline was another brilliant transaction. He contributed 21 points off the bench in Game 3, and his size and athleticism are giving the Knicks fits. Kuminga has also grabbed key rebounds, too.
The best bet is taking McCollum to score at least 20 and 25 points. He’s too effective as a ball handler for the Knicks to avoid his mismatch hunting, and his scoring volume is extremely stable. Overall, McCollum has scored 23, 26, and 32 points in this series on 19, 20, and 22 field goal attempts.
