Thunder-Pacers Game 2 Odds & Same-Game Parlay Picks: Bet On Chet Holmgren In SGP?

With 9:42 left in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, the Pacers were lined as high as +1500 on the in-game moneyline. In the blink of an eye, Indiana completed its fifth comeback of at least 15 points in these playoffs — the most of any team in a single postseason over the last 20 years. With Game 2 set for Sunday night, let’s assess the best picks among Thunder-Pacers odds, including a same-game parlay with our friends at Onyx Odds Social Sportsbook.

Thunder-Pacers Game 2 Odds & Same-Game Parlay Picks

A same-game parlay (SGP) functions the same as a regular parlay. However, it allows bettors to combine multiple outcomes from the same event. A same-game parlay is dependent on each leg winning, similar to a standard parlay. To be eligible for a 100% SGP profit boost, Onyx users must use at least three legs in their same-game parlay, combining for minimum odds of +200.

Thunder vs. Pacers SGP Best Bets: Will Holmgren Shine & Haliburton Struggle?

Entering the NBA Finals, Indiana was a historic series underdog. Tyrese Haliburton and Co. managed to deliver another record-setting comeback on Thursday night, only leading for 0.3 seconds. While I find their success unsustainable, Thunder coach Mark Daigneault likely has some regrets, including benching his big men, especially Chet Holmgren.

Oklahoma City was outscored by nine points in the minutes Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein were on the bench in the fourth quarter.

With 3:24 left to play, Oklahoma City still held an eight-point cushion. That’s when Daigneault pulled Holmgren in favor of Cason Wallace with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, Alex Caruso, and Luguentz Dort.

In fact, Holmgren didn’t see the court again until after Haliburton’s game-winner. He finished with a team-high plus-minus (+4), generating six points and six rebounds in 24 minutes. Plus-minus is often a misleading statistic, but the Thunder’s issues on the glass and while defending the rim were evident without him. Overall, the Pacers outrebounded the Thunder, 56-39.

I expect Holmgren to “rebound,” and his PRA (points, boards, and assists) prop has dipped to 25.5 after sitting at 27.5 before Game 1. Since Onyx is providing a discount after his poor showing, I’ll take Holmgren to go over this prop for the first of my SGP picks among Thunder-Pacers odds.

Additionally, as much praise as Haliburton deserved for his clutch performance, Oklahoma City’s defense forced Indiana into its fair share of isolation sets in Game 1. He notched six assists in the opening matchup after averaging 7.0 dimes in playoff losses entering the series. I’ll wager on this trend continuing for the second leg of this SGP, which is currently set at over/under 8.5 assists at Onyx.

Thunder vs. Pacers Game 2 Odds: Same-Game Parlay Summary

Needing one more leg to receive the Onyx profit boost, I’ll tack on the OKC to win the first half in a prime motivational spot. These three legs provide +284 SGP odds, and the boost ups them to +568. Good luck with your picks for Thunder vs. Pacers odds!
