Week 13 College Football Selections: DraftKings Pick6 (Saturday, November 15)

Below are three player projections tied to this week’s slate along with context for each pick.

Bear Bachmeier: Less than 212.5 passing yards (BYU vs. Cincinnati)

BYU has fought defensive inconsistency all year, but Cincinnati’s defense is a far different challenge for freshman quarterback Bear Bachmeier. Cincy’s pass rush has a very disruptive group, and their secondary limits explosive plays better than most teams BYU has faced this season.

Bachmeier has shown poise, but this environment and this matchup make sustained efficiency difficult. If Cincy controls the pace the way they usually do at home, BYU may struggle to keep drives alive through the air.

Lean: Less than 212.5 passing yards.

CJ Carr: More than 243.5 passing yards (Notre Dame vs. Syracuse)

CJ Carr has stepped into the starting role with impressive control of Notre Dame’s offense. Syracuse has a physical front, but their pass defense has given up steady yardage to strong pocket passers throughout the season.

Notre Dame’s receiving group has been gaining momentum, and Carr benefits from a balanced system that forces defenses to respect the run. In a home matchup that favors Notre Dame from the opening kickoff, Carr is set up for a productive passing afternoon with enough clean pockets to push past his projection.

Lean: More than 243.5 passing yards

Noah Whittington: More than 0.5 rushing plus receiving touchdowns (Oregon vs. USC)

This is a fast-track style matchup and Noah Whittington fits perfectly into Oregon’s up-tempo attack. When Oregon gets rolling, they spread out defenses and create easy scoring chances for their running backs.

USC’s defense has struggled to contain backs in open space all season, which puts Whittington in a prime position near the goal line and on swing plays that double as extended handoffs. With Oregon likely sustaining multiple red zone trips, Whittington has plenty of opportunity to find the end zone either on the ground or through the air.

Lean: More than 0.5 rushing plus receiving touchdowns
