World Cup Best Player Prop Picks, Odds, Predictions for Monday, June 22, 2026

After Tunisia’s 4-0 defeat to Japan in Group F, there are now three teams that have already been knocked out of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. While Monday’s fixtures might not necessarily condemn anyone else to elimination at this stage, there are some sides who could confirm their place in the Knockout Stage with a game to spare.

The first team looking to cement at least a top three finish in their Group is reigning Champions Argentina. They face Austria in Group J, knowing a win would see them at least three points clear of any other team in their Group. This is the first fixture of the day, with a 1pm ET kick off.

Next up, we have the Group I fixture between France and Iraq. It’s a 5pm ET kick off for this one, with France knowing a win would almost certainly secure a place in the Knockout Stage, depending on the result between Norway and Senegal which follows at 8pm ET.

The final game of the day sees Jordan take on Algeria in Group J at 11pm ET. A defeat for either would pretty much be the final nail in the coffin for their hopes of progressing in this year’s World Cup, particularly if the Argentina vs Austria game ends in a draw.

Another fantastic day of World Cup soccer in store! Let’s take a look at the best player prop picks for Monday’s action.

Monday’s Best 2026 World Cup Player Props

  • Lionel Messi (Argentina) Over 1.5 Shots on Goal
  • Michael Olise (France) Over 0.5 Assist
  • Nicolas Jackson (Senegal) Over 1.5 Shot on Goal (+200)

Lionel Messi (Argentina) Over 1.5 Shots on Goal

After his astonishing hattrick against Algeria in Argentina’s Group J opener, the genius that is Lionel Messi equalled Miroslav Klose’s all-time World Cup goalscoring record of 16 goals. One more goal will see Messi take the record outright (although Kylian Mbappe of France might just break it again when his France side takes on Iraq later in the afternoon).

Whether Messi breaks the record against Austria is yet to be seen, but there’s no doubt he’ll be testing Alexander Schlager every chance he gets. He’s my pick to have at least two shots on target.

Michael Olise (France) Over 0.5 Assist

Olise was my choice to get an assist in France’s opener against Senegal, and he did just that. In fact, he got two, after a blistering second half performance by Didier Deschamps’ side. After recording 19 assists in the Bundesliga last season too, I can’t look past the France winger adding to his assists collection against Iraq.

Nicolas Jackson (Senegal) Over 1.5 Shot on Target (+235)

While there’s some tasty-looking fixtures taking place on Monday, the stand out game for me is Norway against Senegal. Norway enjoyed a great start to their campaign, with Erling Braut Haaland scoring twice on his World Cup debut. Senegal might have lost 3-1 to France, but they looked dangerous throughout, particularly in the first half.

Haaland was one of my considerations for this player pick, but instead I like the look of Senegal’s Nicolas Jackson to have at least one shot on target. Yes, he missed a couple of chances against France, one in particular he should’ve put away, but the signs are there that he’ll test Ørjan Nyland in the Norwegian goal at least once.
