World Cup Top Prediction Market Trades for Games on Friday, June 12, 2026
It’s time for Day 2 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. We’ve got two games on tap for Friday, June 12th. Canada hosts Bosnia-Herzegovina at 3 p.m. ET, while USA is home to Paraguay at 9 p.m. ET.
Both co-hosts have high expectations in this tournament, aiming at least for a second-place finish in their respective groups. For both squads, getting eliminated in the group stage would be an absolute disaster. As such, both Canada and USA are favored in their opening matches.
With that in mind, let’s dive into our top prediction market trades for Friday, June 12th for Canada vs. Bosnia-Herzegovina and USA vs. Paraguay.
Top Prediction Market Trades: Best World Cup Trades for Friday, June 12
Canada/Bosnia-Herzegovina: BTS Yes (0.48¢ at Kalshi)
I think that the market is undervaluing Bosnia-Herzegovina a bit. Remember, this is a team that knocked out Italy on UEFA Qualifying on penalties. They also have a draw against Austria under their belt during this qualifying campaign, which is impressive, since they’re an underrated team.
Bosnia is a more direct team that pushes forward. If we look at their game log leading up to the World Cup, we see that they haven’t been held to a clean sheet in 11 of their last 12 games. This includes 10 UEFA World Cup qualifying matches. The one scoreless finish was in a 0-0 draw in a friendly vs. North Macedonia.
On the other side, Canada is similar in their direct approach. Canada has scored at least one goal in nine of their last 10 matches.
We’re getting a favorable price on this prop largely because Alphonso Davies is not going to be playing in this game. Davies’ pace can cause problems for opposing defenses. However, I still like taking both teams to score, given the way each of these teams play.
USA to Win (0.50¢ at Kalshi)
I’m optimistic about the USMNT’s chances at the 2026 World Cup. We’ve seen them look impressive in recent friendlies, including a 2-1 loss to Germany and a 3-2 win against Senegal.
They’re motivated to bounce back from an extremely disappointing showing in Copa America last year, when they crashed out in the group stage. Playing at home, I like them to get a win against Paraguay.
Paraguay is a tight defensive team that allowed only 10 goals in 18 games throughout their qualifying campaign. We saw them look sharp in their recent friendly, beating Nicaragua 4-0. However, they lost one of their key attackers in Julio Enciso. His absence is a major loss, especially against a USA team that can score goals.
La Albirroja is likely content with a draw in this game. But I don’t think they’re going to be able to hold off that American attack here.
Given Enciso’s absence, you have to like the price on USA to win this game. We’ll ride with them here.
Not in a Legal Sports Betting State? Consider Prediction Markets
If sports betting isn’t available in your state, prediction markets offer another way to participate in sports-related events. Unlike traditional sportsbooks, prediction markets allow users to buy and sell contracts based on the outcome of real-world events, with prices fluctuating based on market sentiment. Bettors have a chance to take early exits on their positions, providing an opportunity to secure profit before an event is settled.
Several platforms have expanded their sports offerings in recent years, including Kalshi, Polymarket, and Fanatics Markets. These sites allow users to trade contracts on outcomes ranging from championship winners and award races to individual game results, depending on the platform and available markets.
Prediction markets operate under different regulatory frameworks than traditional sportsbooks, and availability can vary by state and platform. Before signing up, be sure to check each site’s eligibility requirements and terms of service to confirm whether you can participate where you live.
