World Cup Top Prediction Market Trades for Games on Tuesday, June 16, 2026

It’s time for Day 6 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. We’ve got four games on tap for Tuesday, June 16th. France faces Senegal at 3 p.m. ET, followed by Iraq vs. Norway at 6 p.m. ET, Argentina vs. Algeria at 9 p.m. ET, and Austria vs. Jordan at 12 a.m. ET.

We’re going to dive into each matchup, providing my favorite buys for World Cup action.

With that in mind, let’s dive into our top prediction market trades for Tuesday, June 16.

Top Prediction Market Trades: Best World Cup Trades for Tuesday, June 16

France/Senegal Over 2.5 Goals: Yes (0.50¢ at Kalshi)

France has the most impressive group of attackers in the world, including Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, and Michael Olise. This team is capable of scoring 3+ goals against anyone. Having the ability to hit the over just with one team makes this an intriguing buy.

Senegal is no pushover, projected to be one of the best African teams in the tournament. We saw them play a high-scoring game in a recent friendly vs. USA, where they lost 3-2.

This game feels like a 2-1 win for France. I prefer Over 2.5 over Both Teams to Score because of the better price.

Iraq/Norway Over 2.5 Goals: Yes (0.62¢ at Kalshi)

Norway was extremely impressive in UEFA World Cup qualifying, dominating a group that also included Italy. With Erling Haaland up front, this team has one of the best strikers in the world.

It’s going to be tough for Iraq to contain a Norway side that will want to push forward for goals, since this is a tough group that also includes France and Senegal.

I can see this game ending anywhere from 3-0 to 4-1 for the Norwegians.

Argentina/Algeria Over 2.5 Goals: No (0.52¢ at Kalshi)

The defending World Cup champions, Argentina, are a tough team to break down. But so is Algeria, who will be looking to park the bus to steal a point, just like Cabo Verde did against Spain.

I have a hard time seeing Algeria finding a goal in this match, but I also don’t see Argentina winning 3-0.

We’re getting a reasonable price at 52 cents given how Algeria is so organized defensively with intentions of parking the bus, so let’s buy the Under here.

Austria/Jordan Over 2.5 Goals: Yes (0.57¢ at Kalshi)

Austria likes to play a high press aggressively, which can lead to turnovers and goal-scoring opportunities, especially against a low-tier side like Jordan, who are one of the worst teams in the tournament.

We saw the Austrians rack up 22 goals in eight games during UEFA Qualifying. It wouldn’t surprise me to see them score 3+ goals in this one, putting the total over by themselves.

But with the way they play a high press, that can also leave them vulnerable at the back on a counterattack. To that end, I wouldn’t be shocked to see Jordan find a goal as well. Needless to say, I think this one flies over the number.

Not in a Legal Sports Betting State? Consider Prediction Markets

If online sportsbooks aren’t permitted in your state, prediction markets can provide an alternative way to engage with sports outcomes. Rather than placing standard wagers, these platforms let users trade event-based contracts tied to real-world results, with contract prices shifting according to public demand and market expectations. Many markets also give participants the flexibility to close positions before the final outcome, which can allow them to lock in gains or limit risk ahead of settlement.

In the past few years, platforms such as Kalshi, Polymarket, and Fanatics have expanded their markets. Depending on the platform, users may be able to trade contracts involving championship outcomes, player awards, election props, and more.

These markets are different from conventional sportsbooks, where access varies by platform and jurisdiction. Before creating an account, review the platform’s eligibility guidelines and terms carefully to make sure participation is allowed in your area.
