Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans (10/23/2022): Odds, Picks, and Predictions
Contents
In week seven of the NFL season, we get an AFC South clash and rematch of week four as the Indianapolis Colts face off against the Tennessee Titans. In week four in Indianapolis, the Titans came into town and prevailed over the Colts 24-17. This game will be played in Tennessee and the Titans have a chance to sweep the Colts this season that would be detrimental in their race to win the AFC South. This game is crucial for both teams as the winner will take top spot in the AFC South. The Colts got off to a slow start to the season in which their offense has been stagnant at times, but they come into this game off a 2-game winning streak and their record is 3-2-1. The Titans will enter this game off the bye week, but prior to that won a nail-biting game against the Washington Commanders and are currently 3-2. Let’s get into this game’s odds and predictions.
Indianapolis Colts Vs. Tennessee Titans Betting Odds
The Titans enter this game as favorites at home, but slight favorites. They are currently moneyline favorites at -143. They are also currently spread line favorites at -2.5. Both of these teams have been led by their defenses early, but the Titans offensively have been able to ride the back of Derrick Henry early to get off to a nice three win start. Many in Indianapolis have been waiting to see Matt Ryan get comfortable in the Indy offense and it took quite a bit to get adjusted. Last week against the Jaguars however, he was able to throw for 389 yards and three TDs in a 34-17 win. This was also the first game in which the Colts scored over 20 points since last Christmas in a game against the Cardinals. In order to have a chance to win this game, they will need to have another good offensive game where they can limit mistakes and turnovers such as fumbles which they struggled with early in the season.
The over/under total is being placed at 42.5 points. Both of these teams have been low scoring so far this season. The Colts got their first 20+ points total last week while the Titans have not scored over 25 yet this season.
Indianapolis Colts Vs. Tennessee Titans Picks & Prediction
My pick: Indianapolis Colts +2.5 (-105)
I am riding with the recent momentum the Colts have ridden on and am taking them +2.5 in this game. The Titans have dominated the Colts recently and have won their past four matchups, so I think the Colts are due for this win. Injured RBs Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines might also be healthy and back this game after sitting out, but backups Deon Jackson and Philip Lindsay have played well. Matt Ryan is starting to get more comfortable with his receivers like Alec Pierce and Michael Pittman Jr. The O-Line still is struggling and changing things, but they showed ability to give Ryan decent protection last Sunday.
I like the Under as well in this game but I may just stick to my pick as 42.5 is low. Last time they matched up the total was 41 so quite close. If you check out the betting trends next, it shows why the Under could be a smart play.

Derrick Henry vs. Indianapolis Colts Defense
Titans RB Derrick Henry is off to another strong start this season as he has rushed over 80 yards in four of his five games, and has rushed over 100 yards in his last two games. One in which being against the Colts. Henry has been a constant issue for the Colts whenever they matched up. Henry already has five TDs on the season. If he has another dominant performance against Indy, it could be a long day for the Colts defense struggling to get off the field.
