The odds of cashing an SGP naturally go down with each additional leg, but there’s a feeling of relative safety in each of these components.
We’ll start with the game bet, which banks on Dallas making good on its heavy favorite status. The Mavs are carrying -310 moneyline odds, unsurprising given the visit from the 6-17 Nets and the fact the Mavericks also are beneficiaries of plenty of rest. Dallas has also gotten on a bit of a run of late, having prevailed in four of the last five games with three consecutive double-digit wins.
Davis has been a highly reliable source of double-doubles when he’s been on the floor, getting there in six of his eight games with at least 28 minutes on the floor. The matchup here is extremely appealing, considering the Nets are allowing the sixth-most rebounds per road game (56.1) and ninth-most points per game to power forwards overall (24.8). AD has always been at his most efficient at home, where he’s shooting 54.1 percent.
Porter has been the Nets’ team MVP by a long shot, putting up a career-best season that includes 25.8 points per contest on 49.6% shooting, including 39.5% from three on the road. The Mavs have played some tough defense at home, but Porter’s massive usage — 29.9% — and average of 18.7 shot attempts per contest should give him a high probability of reaching the 20-point mark for the 15th time in 20 games.
Finally, we’ll take advantage of FanDuel‘s Alt. feature to take a bit of a dip on Flagg’s base PRA number of 28.5 in the event of limited minutes due to a blowout or simply one of Flagg’s occasional downturns. The rookie first overall pick is averaging 17.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists at home, and he’s facing a Nets squad that’s allowing 49.5% shooting overall.

This is an intriguing nightcap to Friday’s slate, and it has some moving parts to it as of later afternoon, which makes this a prop to jump on now in the event of a price reduction if Anthony Edwards is ultimately declared out due to his illness. (UPDATE: Edwards is now ruled out)
Another interesting component is Stephen Curry’s confirmed return to action from a five-game absence. Curry has reached the 20-point mark in 11 of 16 games, and three of the instances he failed to get there were in games where he logged under 30 minutes. Curry’s absence hasn’t been very prolonged and this projects to be an extremely competitive game (-4.5-point spread), putting the 20-point threshold firmly in play.
Randle is certainly a good prospect to do the same, considering he’s averaging 22.9 points per contest and has hit the 20-point mark on 15 of 24 games. He’s naturally an even better bet to hit this number if Edwards is out (now confirmed) — the big man sports a team-high 30.4% usage rate and averages 30.2 points per 36 minutes with his star teammate off the floor.
Butler should also be a relative shoo-in to get to a 15-point tally, a number he’s hit in 17 of 18 games with at least 29 minutes of floor time. And finally, we’ll take advantage of the Alt. Spread feature to bring Golden State’s number down to +2.5 as a big hedge from their -4.5 number.
