World Cup Top Prediction Market Trades for Games on Thursday, June 11, 2026

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is finally here. We’ve got two games for the opening slate, including Mexico vs. South Africa at 3 p.m. ET in Mexico City and South Korea vs. Czechia at 10 p.m. ET in Guadalajara.

As one of the host nations, Mexico will push hard to win Group A, especially since it would guarantee them another home game in the Round of 32. Facing the projected worst team in the group in South Africa, this is the game El Tri will want to secure the three points. As for South Korea and Czechia, these are two relatively evenly matched teams, where a conservative game plan is likely.

Keep reading to find out our top prediction market trades for Thursday, June 11th for Mexico vs. South Africa and South Korea vs. Czechia.

2026 World Cup Record: 0-0

Top Prediction Market Trades: Best World Cup Trades for Thursday, June 11

Mexico to Win (0.7¢ at Kalshi)

Playing in front of a raucous crowd against the projected fourth-place team in Group A, expect Mexico to take an aggressive game plan into the World Cup opener. El Tri won’t be content with a draw against Bafana Bafana.

We’ve seen Mexico look sharp in their tune-up friendlies leading up to the tournament, including an impressive 5-1 victory over Serbia on June 4th. Meanwhile, South Africa has a loss and a draw to Panama, along with a draw vs. Nicaragua and a win vs. Jamaica.

While trading on Mexico to win isn’t going to bring a hefty return on investment because they’re heavy favorites, it’s still the right move in the World Cup opener. Not only will South Africa have to adjust to the heat, but altitude as well. Mexico is familiar with it, so this could be a nice advantage for them.

I’m avoiding match handicaps like Mexico to win by 2+ goals because I don’t want to get burned by a late goal in injury time of the second half. I feel more comfortable just taking Mexico to win.

As one of my favorite dark horses in the tournament, I’ll be riding with Mexico often. I believe that home-field advantage is more impactful for them compared to USA and Canada.

South Korea/Czechia Under 2.5 Goals (0.58¢ at Kalshi)

As mentioned above, South Korea and Czechia are pretty even in terms of quality. While I slightly favor South Korea, it’s likely that we’re going to see both teams take a conservative approach to their openers.

Remember, the top eight 3rd-place teams in each group earn a trip to the Round of 32. In other words, it’s relatively easy to get through to the next round. The last thing that South Korea or Czechia wants here is a loss. With that in mind, both teams could play a tight game, where they’re content with a draw.

That bodes well for Under 2.5 goals, with 1-1 as a common score line that is firmly within reach here.

Then, we have to consider the location of this game. It’s in Estadio Guadalajara, where there’s altitude, just like in Mexico City. With both South Korea and Czechia unfamiliar with these types of conditions, fatigue could play a factor here.

While the Under is expensive, it’s hard to see a lot of goals in this match, considering the circumstances.

Not in a Legal Sports Betting State? Consider Prediction Markets

If sports betting isn’t legal in your state, prediction markets may offer an alternative way to participate in sports-related events. Unlike traditional sportsbooks, prediction markets allow users to buy and sell contracts based on the outcome of real-world events, with prices fluctuating based on market sentiment.

Several platforms have expanded their sports offerings in recent years, including Kalshi, Polymarket, and Fanatics Markets. These sites allow users to trade contracts on outcomes ranging from championship winners and award races to individual game results, depending on the platform and available markets.

Prediction markets operate under different regulatory frameworks than traditional sportsbooks, and availability can vary by state and platform. Before signing up, be sure to check each site’s eligibility requirements and terms of service to confirm whether you can participate where you live.
