Top Prediction Market Trades: Best World Cup Trades for Wednesday, June 24
Switzerland to Win By More Than 1.5 Goals vs. Canada: No (0.81¢ at Kalshi)
My pick for this game is Canada +0.5, where you hit your bet if they win or draw, but that’s not available at Kalshi right now. So, we’re going with Canada +1.5 here, even at the high price.
What I love about this trade is that Canada just needs a draw to win Group B. Expect a conservative approach as they try to avoid mistakes. Winning the group would be massive for them because it guarantees a home game in the Round of 32.
While Switzerland are the better team on paper with a lot more experience, home field advantage is likely to be the difference here.
Bosnia-Herzegovina to Win vs. Qatar (0.70¢ at Kalshi)
Bosnia-Herzegovina kept it close with Switzerland for most of the game, but after they took a red card, the dam broke, en route to a 4-1 loss. The good news is that all they need to advance is a win over Qatar.
Qatar can go through with a win as well, but quite frankly, they’ve looked like the worst team in the tournament, fresh off a 6-0 beatdown against Canada.
One thing about Bosnia-Herzegovina is that they’ve been pretty organized defensively in this tournament so far. I think they’ll come through with a 2-0 or 2-1 win.
Brazil to Win by More Than 1.5 Goals vs. Scotland: No (0.54¢ at Kalshi)
Brazil is looking to add to their goal differential with a win over Scotland as they try to finish atop Group C and avoid Netherlands in the Round of 32.
However, Scotland just needs a draw to advance to the knockout round for the first time. Expect the Tartan Army to be determined to play a tight, defensive game. We saw them hold Morocco to only one goal, so perhaps they can do the same to Brazil.
Even if Scotland loses this game, they can still advance if it’s only by one goal, which would keep their goal differential at a manageable -1. That’s why I love +1.5 here, since it could still be enough to get through.
Morocco/Haiti Both Teams to Score: Yes (0.38¢ at Kalshi)
Morocco needs a win by multiple goals if they’re to win Group C, provided that Brazil beats Scotland. To that end, we should see them push forward in this match.
But I like the value on taking Both Teams to Score: Yes. Even though Haiti is already eliminated, they’re playing for pride here. They’re looking to score at least one goal.
I’m betting against Haiti getting shut out in this tournament, especially since we’ve seen them generate a few chances against both Scotland and Brazil. With Morocco pushing forward for goals, I’ll take the chance that Haiti can find one as well.
Mexico to Win by More Than 1.5 Goals vs Czechia: No (0.75¢ at Kalshi)
I have Czechia +0.5 as one of my plays, but that’s unavailable at Kalshi, so we’ll trade +1.5 in this spot.
What I love about this pick is that Mexico has nothing to play for. They’ve already locked up first place in Group A. You could argue that they’re playing for pride in front of a home crowd, but I’d rather side with the team that needs three points to advance to the knockout round.
Czechia deserve more than one point from their first two matches, as they blew one-goal leads to both South Korea and South Africa. I like them to keep this one close, perhaps even winning outright. Whenever given the choice of taking the team with a lot on the line vs. a team with zero stakes, give me the side where a win actually matters. Every time.
South Korea to Win vs South Africa (0.58¢ at Kalshi)
South Korea still needs a result to secure their berth in the knockout round, so expect them to control the match against an underwhelming South Africa side.
We saw South Africa barely generate much against Czechia, but they were bailed out by a handball in the box, which led to the equalizer after they converted a penalty.
Meanwhile, South Korea beat Czechia and kept it close in a road game vs. Mexico. They’ve been clearly the better side here. The price is relatively cheap here, especially when you consider the disparity between these two sides.
Not in a Legal Sports Betting State? Consider Prediction Markets
If traditional sports betting isn’t available where you live, prediction markets offer another way to participate in sports events. Instead of placing bets against a sportsbook at fixed odds, participants buy and sell contracts tied to specific outcomes. Contract prices fluctuate based on market activity, reflecting the collective probability assigned to each outcome. Many platforms also allow users to exit positions before an event concludes, giving them the opportunity to realize profits or reduce potential losses.
The range of available markets has grown considerably in recent years. Platforms such as Kalshi, Polymarket, and Fanatics offer contracts on individual games, championship winners, player awards, and other sports-related outcomes. Many also feature markets covering elections, economic indicators, entertainment, and other current events.
Unlike traditional sportsbooks, prediction markets operate through peer-to-peer exchanges under different regulatory frameworks. Availability varies by platform and jurisdiction, so access isn’t the same everywhere. Before opening an account or trading, review the platform’s eligibility requirements and terms of service to confirm that it is available in your location.
