2026 World Cup Best Player Prop Picks, Odds, Predictions for Saturday, July 4, 2026
The 2026 World Cup transitions to the Round of 16 with a two-game Saturday slate. Co-hosts Canada open the round against Morocco, looking to extend their best-ever World Cup run into the quarterfinals. Later in the afternoon, tournament favorites France take on Paraguay, who are coming off their first knockout stage win since 2010.
Canada and Morocco open the Round of 16 at 1 p.m. ET at NRG Stadium in Houston. The Atlas Lions remain unbeaten in the competition after upsetting the Netherlands in the Round of 32 and enter as slight favorites to advance past Canada and into the quarterfinals for the second consecutive World Cup.
France and Paraguay close out the day at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, kicking off at 5 p.m. ET. France is the heavy favorite against the South American side that stunned Germany in the Round of 32. No team in the tournament has scored more goals than Les Bleus, who will look to carry the world’s most dangerous attack into the Round of 16.

Saturday’s Best 2026 World Cup Player Props
- Achraf Hakimi (Morocco) – Over 2.5 Shots (+120)
- Kylian Mbappé (France) – Over 1.5 Goals + Assists (+160)
- Michael Olise (France) – Over 0.5 Assists (+145)
Achraf Hakimi (Morocco) – Over 2.5 Shots (+120)
Hakimi continues to prove why he is considered one of the most complete right backs in the world. The PSG captain helps anchor a Morocco defense that has suffocated several top sides in the competition while remaining one of the most dangerous fullbacks in attack, capable of overlapping on the right and creating chances for himself and others.
Hakimi accounts for over 20% of Morocco’s total shots, leading the team with 3.2 attempts per game across four matches. He is averaging 107 touches per game, leads the team in big chances created, and tops the squad in key passes per match. Morocco clearly trusts their captain with the ball, and his numbers back that up. Expect Hakimi to keep pushing forward as he looks to help guide his side to another quarterfinal appearance.
Kylian Mbappé (France) – Over 1.5 Goals + Assists (+160)
The 2022 Golden Boot winner looks primed for another deep run based on his start to this tournament. Mbappé leads the competition with eight goal contributions and has recorded at least two in each of his four appearances. The Real Madrid superstar is not only chasing the Golden Boot but is locked in a race with Lionel Messi for the all-time World Cup scoring record.
The 27-year-old now brings a World Cup-best 11 goal contributions in knockout matches into Saturday’s game, having scored twice in the Round of 32. He faces a Paraguay defense that, after conceding four goals in the opener, has allowed just one across the three matches since. The South Americans will look to stifle France with a low block — a tactic most sides try against Les Bleus to little avail.
Once France finds the opening goal, Paraguay will be forced to open up in search of an equalizer. Expect Mbappé and France to have plenty of opportunities against a side that has genuinely overachieved to reach this stage.
Michael Olise (France) – Over 0.5 Assists (+145)
Olise has announced himself on the world stage in his first World Cup, leading the entire competition with five assists across four matches. The Bayern Munich star is coming off a club season with 26 assists and has brought that elite creativity to the international stage at the perfect time.
He leads the tournament with five big chances created and 2.19 xA — a figure his teammates are significantly outperforming. France’s wealth of attacking talent, including Mbappé, has undoubtedly helped elevate Olise’s numbers, but his own quality cannot be understated. The 24-year-old is still searching for his first World Cup goal but has consistently put teammates in dangerous positions, averaging 2.5 key passes per game.
With France so heavily favored in this Round of 16 tie, expect Olise to be a key contributor in what should be a comfortable win for Les Bleus.
