George Springer (hip) is surprisingly expected to return to the lineup for Game 6, the team announced on Thursday. That’s a huge boost for the Blue Jays, as the veteran outfielder has been their catalyst all year long.
This is another Jays hitter who actually generated hard contact against Yamamoto in that Game 2 outing, registering a .445 xwOBA.
How fitting would it be for Springer to go yard in his return to the lineup, perhaps in another big moment? I’ll take my chances in this matchup.
