Quarterbacks
Ryan Tannehill ($6,700) vs Lions- Ryan Tannehill wasn’t needed a lot vs the Jaguars last week but he was still able to put up 16 FPTS throwing for 212 yards and 2 TDs. He will be up against the Lions this week, who are allowing 3rd most FPTS to opposing QBs this year and have had issues stopping anyone on the ground or through the air this season. With AJ Brown and Corey Davis at his disposal I believe Tannehill could have a great game at home this Sunday.
Jalen Hurts ($5,900) vs Cardinals- Jalen Hurts didn’t have the most success throwing the ball in his first start last week but he was electric on the ground rushing for 106 yards along with his 167 passing yards. The Cardinals defense will be an easier matchup for the young QB so we could expect some more success throwing, but the value here is with Hurts legs and he proved he has the potential to become one of the most versatile QBs in DFS.
Running Backs
Jonathan Taylor ($7,200) vs Texans- Jonathan Taylor has had his ups and downs this season but he looks like he has turned the corner over the last two games. He has scored 33.5 and 22.5 FPTS in each of the last two games and has been averaging over 7 YPC in those games. In his last game vs the Texans he rushed for 91 yards on 13 carries and added 44 receiving yards with a TD as well. The Texans defense leaves a lot to be desired and are allowing 152.3 rushing yards per game. This is setting up for Taylor to continue his streak of solid running for the Colts.
J.K. Dobbins ($5,900) vs Jaguars- There is a lot of time sharing that goes on in the Baltimore backfield but Dobbins has been consistent enough to be trusted in DFS. He has scored no less than 13 FPTS in the last 3 games and will be going up against a Jaguars team this week who just allowed Derrick Henry to rush for over 200 yards. Dobbins has also scored a touchdown in each of his last 3 games for Baltimore. He comes into this game at a solid price under $6000 and given his recent success I have no issues taking a shot on him.
Wide Receivers
A.J. Brown ($7,600) vs Lions- Titans WR A.J. Brown continues to be a big play threat anytime the ball touches his hands. He was great again last week catching 7 of 9 targets for 112 yards and a touchdown vs Jacksonville. He now has 6 games this year of 20+ FPTS and with 7+ targets in 3 of the last 4 games, he has become a favorite of QB Ryan Tannehill. The Lions rank 27th in pass yards allowed this season and given their struggles there is no reason to believe that A.J. Brown would start slowing down now. Roster him with confidence this week vs Detroit.
T.Y. Hilton ($5,500) vs Texans- T.Y. Hilton started the year off very slow with new QB Philip Rivers, but it looks like he has turned the corner. He has scored no less than 18 FPTS in each of the last 3 games and has caught a total of 4 TDs in those games as well. In the Colts last game vs the Texans Hilton had his best game of the year going for 8 catches on 11 targets for 110 yards and a TD. The Texans defense isn’t in a good spot and at this price I am willing to bet on Hilton continuing to play well.
Tight End
Logan Thomas ($4,000) vs Seahawks- Logan Thomas has turned into the 2nd best offensive threat on the Washington offense behind Terry McLaurin. He has 2 TDs in the last 3 games and has been targeted a total of 16 times with 15 catches in the last 2. It’s unclear as of this writing who will be the QB for Washington this week but I think Thomas is a play whether it’s Alex Smith or Dwayne Haskins. The Seahawks defense has gotten better as we get later into the season but I believe there is still points to be had on the Washington offense.
Defense
Chicago Bears D/ST ($3,200) vs Vikings- Once again the Bears defense was back to its ways last week sacking Deshaun Watson 7 times and only allowing 7 points. This week they will be up against the Vikings, a team who they held to 13 points and scored 12 FPTS against in their week 10 meeting. Apart from the top options this week I think the Bears offer the most upside especially if they can hold down Dalvin Cook like they have many times in the past. It’s not as good as rostering the Rams vs the Jets, but if you are looking for some value I think there is some to be had here.
