English Premier League Anytime Goal Scoring Picks, Odds, Predictions for Sunday, May 10, 2026
The Premier League title race is still down to two teams.
With Manchester City eventually pulling away for a decisive 3-0 win over Brentford on Saturday, attention turns to Arsenal on Sunday to see what they can do against a West Ham team in a relegation scrap with Tottenham Hotspur to shape the title race.
While that’s clearly the most significant match on Sunday — perhaps of the whole weekend, given that the Gunners remain in pole position to win the league — three other contests promise to bring goals and therefore goalscorers to the mix.
Here are three we have our eyes on:
- Emiliano Buendia, Aston Villa
- Taiwo Awoniyi, Nottingham Forest
- Leandro Trossard, Arsenal
Emiliano Buendia, Aston Villa
In Thursday’s 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest to get the Europa League final, Buendia scored from the spot and assisted on Ollie Watkins’ opening goal to contribute to a very convincing win. Given the BBC’s report on Friday that the club had been looking to sell him in the summer, it’s been a year in which the Argentine creator has had to prove his value, and he’s done so convincingly in arguably Villa’s most consequential match of the season.
While we’re expecting goals to come from multiple Villa players in this one — especially considering recently relegated Burnley’s poor run of form lately — Buendia looks to figure into the scoring, and almost certainly stands to assist.
Taiwo Awoniyi, Nottingham Forest
There had to be a winner as well as a loser in the all-England Europa League semifinal on Thursday, and the Tricky Trees saw a 10-match unbeaten streak in all competitions come to an ignoble end with the 4-0 loss.
Now, it’s about staying safe from relegation, with Vitor Pereira’s men six points ahead of the drop zone. A win coupled with a West Ham loss should be enough to keep them safe, and given the massive goal differential between Forest and West Ham, a win on its own makes staying up a near certainty.
Given that motivation, expect Forest to get in some goals, and given that Awoniyi had a brace in the most recent league match against Chelsea, he’s a good candidate.
Leandro Trossard, Arsenal
In a match where both teams have so much to play for — Arsenal vying for a trophy, and West Ham vying to stay in the Premier League and avoid their first relegation in 15 years — expect Arsenal to face an immense defense effort and meet it with the energy they brought in dismantling Fulham last week. That win brought their Premier League record since a Jan. 25 loss to Manchester United to 8-2-2.
Leandro Trossard has five goals and six assists, and even though his last goal contributions for Arsenal came back on Dec. 30 — a goal and an assist in a win over Aston Villa — he’s been playing well enough lately to where observers can see that a goal is coming. With the chance for multiple goals akin to last week’s win, Trossard’s a good candidate to come through and get the Gunners one step closer to glory.
