Chiefs @ Ravens
Giving you my advice on this game on how to best utilize those 15 to 1 odds, I would be taking the Baltimore Ravens. They are favorites for a reason and that reason is how Lamar Jackson matches up against this Chiefs’ defense. While the Chiefs are banged up, even in a perfectly healthy match, there is not really anyone on Kansas City’s side of the ball that can stop Lamar Jackson. He should be able to drive the ball up the field with the help of Mark Ingram and JK Dobbins. Rushing the football like this takes time off the clock and limits the amount of time that Kansas City and Mahomes can have the ball on offense.
Looking at the other side of the ball I think that Baltimore’s defense is extremely comparable to the Chargers’ defense. Considering last week’s performance, that is a scary thought for Andy Reid and the Chiefs. The Chargers were able to slow down KC for most of that game and limit them to 20 points in regulation. The strong secondary for the Ravens should be able to cause coverage Mahomes to take coverage sacks. In addition, the Ravens possess a front 7 with incredible speed, this should help stop Clyde Edwards-Helaire from having a big day.
I recommend the Ravens in this matchup.
