World Cup Goal Scoring Picks, Odds, Predictions for Monday, June 29, 2026
We’ve just hit the sweet spot of the 2026 World Cup.
For the next few days, we’re getting three matches a day in which the winner advances and the loser goes home. =
First, we get Brazil vs. Japan, in which the most successful team in World Cup history — with five titles and the only team to qualify for every single World Cup in history — faces what is now a perennial Asian power. Brazil, ranked No. 5 in the world, got through a challenging group that included No. 6 Morocco, while Japan finished second in a group that Netherlands wn outright — but only after Japan and Netherlands drew.
Germany vs. Paraguay, meanwhile, will pit the surprise third-place finisher in the United States’ group — which beat Türkiye despite talismanic player Miguel Almirón getting sent off before halftime — against the Group E winners, which won their first two matches before getting upended by Ecuador.
Netherlands vs. Morocco will close out the day, featuring two of the top seven teams in the world in what promises to be an epic Round of 32 match. Morocco was the runner-up to Brazil in its group, whereas Netherlands bested both Japan and Sweden in that group’s standings to set up this matchup.
These matches should bring goals, and here are some of the prime candidates to deliver those. Make sure to check out our World Cup match trends page for daily odds, insights, and betting data for each game.
Monday’s Best 2026 World Cup Goal Scoring Picks
- Vinicius Junior, Brazil
- Deniz Undav, Germany
- Ismail Saibari, Morocco
Vinicius Junior, Brazil
While Brazil’s been a bit unpredictable in this World Cup, despite winning two contests by comfortable margins, the one constant for the five-time champs has been Vinicius Junior. The Real Madrid man has scored in all three of Brazil’s group stage contests, and scored Brazil’s lone goal in its opening test against Morocco.
In Japan, Brazil gets an opponent that scores goals but also lets goals in. While Japanese players like Ayase Ueda and Koki Ogawa look like possibilities to make the match interesting, Vini should continue his goal scoring stream even if Brazil’s run ends unexpectedly early.
Deniz Undav, Germany
Deniz Undav has come in off the bench in all three matches so far this tournament, and he’s scored in two of those, only missing the back of the net in the loss to Ecuador. While some thought Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann might start Undav in that last group stage match, it seems he doesn’t want to interrupt the team’s flow.
A win over Paraguay will bring a Round of 16 match against (most likely) tournament favorites France. Look for Undav to get his reps in and put an exclamation point on a decisive win with the match’s final goal.
Ismail Saibari, Morocco
In the three matches that Morocco has played so far, Ismail Saibari has scored in all three of them, as early as a second-minute goal in a 1-0 win over Scoltland, and no later than first-half stoppage time. While playing the Netherlands and its array of attackers puts the first goalscorer up in the air in this match, you might still be feeling Saibari to get Morocco on the board first — especially if you’re feeling the No. 6 team in the world to beat the No. 7 team in the world.
Note that goals will be scored in this match: Brian Brobbey has been especially prolific this tournament, and Cody Gakpo has shown up big for the Oranje in their last few tournaments. But look for Saibari to make this an interesting affair with socirng on both sides — look for something on the order of a 3-2 final scoreline.
