2026 Genesis Scottish Open Odds, Picks, Predictions: Best Bets, Props, OAD
PGA Tour has gone international, as we embark on this journey from the Quad Cities to Edinburgh, Scotland for the 2026 Genesis Invitational at The Renaissance Club.
This event has been a welcome addition to the PGA Tour schedule since officially becoming a co-sanctioned event with the DP World Tour in 2022. While the golf purist in me would love to see this contest on a proper links venue, I’ll happily settle for Tom Doak’s modern links design here. Relative to links courses on the Open rota, this is an event that rewards driving distance, long iron proficiency, and creativity around the greens.
Ahead, we’ll run through all the bets I’ve placed for the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open.

How I Built My Genesis Scottish Open Betting Card
The three-headed monster of Scheffler, McIlroy, and Rahm is always intimidating to bet against, but McIlroy’s win at The Masters is the only instance this year in which one of these top stars has won versus a strong field.
Links golf is different from a traditional PGA Tour setup, and although The Renaissance Club is a more modern, Americanized version of a links setup than we may be used to seeing at The Open, I still find myself leaning more towards players with proven international experience on coastal, wind-exposed venues.
From a unit allocation standpoint, it’s back to business as usual for my weekly stake at the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open.
- Outrights — 3.5U in to pay 25U each
- FRL — 0.5U in to pay out 10U+ each
- Full tournament matchups — 1U in to pay out 2U
- Props — 1.5U in to pay out 3U+ each
Genesis Scottish Open Odds: Outright Bets (3.5 units)
Matt Fitzpatrick
My Bet: +2200
It’s been a near-perfect season for Fitzpatrick, who has already picked up three PGA Tour wins and another two top-5 finishes within his last three starts. The Englishman will head to friendlier confines with this links leg of the PGA Tour season. In Fitzpatrick’s most recent event overseas, we won the DP World World Tour Championship back in November, so there is no question whether his game can translate outside of the United States.
Fitzpatrick’s game seems to travel regardless of the venue these days, but he is especially well-equipped to handle a long links setup like The Renaissance Club. He’s finished in the top 6 in three of his last five appearances at this event, including a playoff loss back in 2021. There is nothing not to like about Fitzpatrick’s game at the moment, and his odds come at a fair price, thanks to Scheffler and McIlroy’s presence.
Chris Gotterup
My Bet: +3000
The case for Gotterup is an easy one. He won last week’s John Deere Classic, and he won last year’s Genesis Scottish Open. Normally, a player who claims top marks in recent form, course fit, and course history would be amongst the favorites; however, you’ll still find at least seven players with shorter odds than Gotterup on any given sportsbook this week.
Now a three-time winner on the PGA Tour this season, Gotterup has picked up five wins over the last last two years, and should be respected as a star in today’s game. Gotterup is one of the longest drivers in the field, a skillset he consistently leaned on to attack this course in 2025. We’ve seen sticky course history from other recent past champions like Rory McIlroy and Robert MacIntyre at The Renaissance Club before, and with three top-15 finishes over his last six starts, Gotterup doesn’t seem ready to slow down any time soon.
Wyndham Clark
My Bet: +3300
Clark proved he can conquer a long, driver-heavy, wind-exposed venue with his US Open win at Shinnecock Hills three weeks ago. Considering he has finished T11, T10, T25, and T16 in his first four Genesis Scottish Open appearances, I don’t see any reason why his game wouldn’t continue to translate well here in 2026.
Clark is one of the hottest players in the world right now, with finishes of T5, 1st, T11, 3rd, and 1st over his last five starts. His wins at Shinnecock Hills and TPC Craig Ranch share in common a steady game plan of long drives into generous landing areas and navigating the wind with ample long-iron approaches. That game plan will continue to be rewarded at The Renaissance Club this week if his form remains this hot.
Kurt Kitayama
My Bet: +5500
Kitayama has continued a remarkable streak of 32 consecutive events in which he’s gained strokes on approach, dating back to the 2025 Zurich Classic. He’s also gained strokes off the tee in eight consecutive starts leading into this week, a credit to his top-tier distance and newfound control with the driver. In this top-heavy field, he ranks top-10 in terms of both SG: Ball Striking and SG: APP.
The Californian has enjoyed plenty of success overseas throughout his career, picking up two DP World Tour wins in 2019. He’s also proven his game translates at The Renaissance Club, finishing runner-up here in 2022, just one stroke shy of Xander Schauffele. Kitayama has a great track record in high winds too, picking up the biggest win of his career to date the 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational. Wind tends to accentuate the importance of pure ball-striking skill, so I’m drawn to Kitayama’s fit on the Scottish Links this week. With his around-the-green game also coming around lately, he’ll just need to flip the putter, and he’ll get an entirely new surface on the Renaissance Club’s slow, fescue-based greens. If the putter cooperates, the rest of Kitayama’s game is ready to strike in Scotland. He’ll look to continue his stretch of six top-25 finishes over his last seven starts this week.
Tom Kim
My Bet: +9200
Elite approach play travels everywhere on the PGA Tour, and that still applies when traveling across the Atlantic Ocean to Edinburgh. While Kim may not fit the prevailing bomber archetype for the Renaissance Club, it has not held him back one bit. He joins Rory McIlroy as the only two players who have never finished worse than T20 at the Genesis Scottish Open (with a minimum of three appearances). His results include 3rd, T6, T15, and T17 over the last four years.
Kim’s game appears sharp enough to continue that trend this week, as he ranks 5th in the field in SG: APP, and has finishes of 3rd at the US Open and T15 at the RBC Canadian Open over the last month. Kim’s prowess on the links transcends the Renaissance Club as well, as he posted his best career major finish (T2) at the 2023 Open Championship at Royal Liverpool. If he can manage to putt as well as he did at Shinnecock Hills, the rest of his game is ready to contend in Scotland.
Ryan Fox
My Bet: +13000
Navigating the wind on a flat venue heavily exposed to the coastline is an acquired skill that is not for everyone. Fox has proven to be up to the task over the course of his career however, and is the most appealing “longshot” in this field to me from an outright perspective. The Kiwi has won before on the British links, taking down the 2022 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. That is just one of his six career international victories between the DP World Tour and PGA Tour since 2019, proving he is a more-than-capable closer. Relative to a traditional links course, Tom Doak’s modernized Renaissance Club is even better tailored to the strengths of Fox’s game.
While most links courses emphasize control and narrow misses off the tee, The Renaissance Club is highly forgiving off the tee, thus lending an advantage to the longest drivers in the field. Fox ranks top-30 in this field in terms of Driving Distance, Prox: 200+, and SG: Ball Striking in coastal, windy conditions. With four top-35 finishes over his last five starts, Fox looks to be in good enough form to improve on his career-best Scottish Open finish of T12 in 2023.
Genesis Scottish Open: First-Round Leader (0.5 units)
Min Woo Lee
My Bet: +5400
This week’s first man off the outright card was Min Woo Lee, so as a contingency, I’ll settle for my exposure in the FRL market. Min Woo has already conquered the Renaissance Club once back in 2021, and he’s proven to be at his best on long and forgiving courses that offer an advantage to the longest drivers in the field, like himself.
Kurt Kitayama
My Bet:+6000
Kitayama remains one of my favorite course fits for The Renaissance Club and continues to trend closer to picking up another win in 2026. Great approach play is the most consistent avenue to produce birdie opportunities, and he’s been a top-5 approach player throughout the 2026 season on the PGA Tour.
Kristoffer Reitan
My Bet: +6000
Before making a name for himself on the PGA Tour, it was at this event last year that PGA Tour fans first got a glimpse of his immense talent. Reitan finished T13 at this event in 2025, and the Truist Championship winner has continued to show us that he is best on long, driver-heavy setups like this.
Aaron Rai
My Bet: +7400
I am always going to bet on Aaron Rai as first-round leader whenever he’s in the field, but I feel especially confident in events like these where he’s already shown proven success. Rai was a winner at this event back in 2020 and nearly won for a second time in 2024, when he finished T4. He remains in excellent form with six top-30 finishes over his last seven starts.
Eugenio Chacarra
My Bet: +9300
The most dangerous full-time DP World Tour player in the field this week is Eugenio Chacarra, who has won twice overseas over his last three starts. Chacarra is a supremely talented young player at the age of 26, and profiles well to score at the Renaissance Club given his combination of distance and approach accuracy.
Genesis Scottish Open Picks: Props (2.5 units)
Full Tournament Matchup: Tom Kim over Bud Cauley
My Bet: -114
I’ve avoided betting aginst Bud Cauley on the PGA Tour this season, as the veteran has proven to be above-average in all facets of his game. The Scottish links are a different animal, however, and we often see players with less links experience have to face a steep learning curve compared to the traditional PGA Tour venues they are used to playing. Cauley has made just one start at the Scottish Open in his career, finishing T55 here last year. He also has just one Open Championship start over the last 12 years, which resulted in a missed cut.
Tom Kim, from tee-to-green, has looked just as sharp as Cauley this season, but he holds a significant edge in terms of links history. He has finished 3rd, T6, T15, and T17 over four career Genesis Scottish Open appearances and has also finished T2 at the Open Championship in 2023.
Top-20 Finish: Kristoffer Reitan
My Bet: +250
Prior to establishing himself as a Signature Event winner on the PGA Tour, Reitan proved he could hang with some of the best players in the world at this event by finishing T13 at the 2025 Genesis Scottish Open. Since his win at Quail Hollow earlier this season, Reitan has remained hot with five top-15 finishes over his last 10 starts.
Top-20 Finish: Tom Kim
My Bet: +300
Tom Kim has done nothing but finish in the top-20 at this event over his first four appearances, and his current form in 2026 is just as good as ever. He’s finished top-15 in three of his last six starts, including a T6 at the US Open three weeks ago in similar long, windy links conditions.
One & Done
My Pick: Wyndham Clark
Sometimes you just need to strike while the iron is hot. I’m not sure how much longer this heater of five consecutive top-11 finishes will continue, but it doesn’t seem to me like the Renaissance Club is where it will end. Clark has a long history of feasting on courses that reward driving distance and offer forgiveness off the tee. He’s finished no worse than T25 over four career starts, and may be one PGA Tour win away from locking up Player of the Year honors.
If not Clark, I would also consider playing Chris Gotterup, Tom Kim, or Kurt Kitayama in OAD.
