2027 Super Bowl Opening Odds: Favorites, Longshots, Value
The Seattle Seahawks secured the second Super Bowl title in franchise history on Sunday with a dominant 29-13 win over the New England Patriots, and bettors are already turning their attention to first-look 2027 Super Bowl odds.
The defending champions are unsurprisingly atop the leaderboard, but the AFC frontrunner surprisingly finds itself a bit further down the pack. Meanwhile, in a sign of just how low expectations are for a Dolphins team firmly in flux, Miami is shockingly tied with the Arizona Cardinals for the second-longest odds, ahead of only the hapless New York Jets.
While there’s still an entire offseason’s worth of personnel movement on tap, here’s an initial look at where some noteworthy teams slot on the initial 2027 Super Bowl futures leaderboard.
2027 Super Bowl Opening Odds: Favorites, Longshots, Value
2027 Super Bowl Favorites
Seattle Seahawks (+750): As already alluded to, a stacked Seahawks team is the early favorite to once again hoist the Lombardi Trophy come February 2027. Naturally, Seattle will have to get its backfield house in order – Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker is set to become an unrestricted free agent, while Zach Charbonnet is expected to miss a significant chunk of next season due to his torn ACL – but the defense is built to excel for years to come and an upgrade at No. 2 receiver with some of the team’s plentiful cap space could make an already talented passing attack even more effective.
Los Angeles Rams (+800): Newly minted NFL MVP Matthew Stafford and company fell just short of serving as the NFC representative on Sunday, but oddsmakers are expecting the Rams to be right back in the thick of it with their division rival next season. All of the key impact skill-position players – Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, Kyren Williams and Blake Corum among them – are expected back, while Stafford is likely to be persuaded to put off retirement for at least one more year considering the talent around him.
Baltimore Ravens (+1200): John Harbaugh is now in the Big Apple, but Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry and plenty of other talented pieces remain in Charm City. The Ravens’ offense could be revitalized by a combination of new head coach Jesse Minter’s schemes and offseason personnel acquisitions, while the other side of the ball still has plenty of talent despite its 2025 struggles.
Buffalo Bills (+1200): Another perennial contender that will be treading unfamiliar waters in 2026 is the Bills, who surprisingly jettisoned Sean McDermott following the divisional-round loss to the Broncos. However, there will be continuity for the offense via new head coach Joe Brady, who served as the offensive coordinator for the last two-plus seasons. Josh Allen and James Cook always give Buffalo a fighting chance, and if the Bills get their hands on a true No. 1 receiver while also improving the front seven on the other side, these odds could prove to be quite the value.
2027 Super Bowl Mid-Range Value
Kansas City Chiefs (+1600): Much like you can’t really count out the Bills as long as Allen is healthy, the same certainly holds true for the Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs. Kansas City is in highly unfamiliar territory at this spot on the leaderboard, and Andy Reid’s squad certainly has plenty of questions to answer this offseason. Nevertheless, assuming Mahomes is able to play most, if not all, of the regular season after tearing his ACL in December, it’s likely unwise to doubt a motivated Kansas City team’s ability to reload and resurge.
New England Patriots (+1700): Ten teams in, we finally catch a glimpse of the defending AFC champions, whose chances of replicating their Cinderella 2025 season aren’t viewed very favorably. The long-ish odds are somewhat perplexing, considering Drake Maye is likely taking another step forward, TreVeyon Henderson could enjoy a true second-year breakout, and the defense should remain one of the best in either conference. Any likely offseason improvement to the wide-receiver corps should only make this an even more intriguing bet to make.
Denver Broncos (+2000): The Broncos’ spot on the leaderboard is about as eye-catching as that of the Patriots, considering there are plenty of similarities between both teams. Bo Nix is also likely to continue trending upward and is expected to be fully healed from his ankle injury by OTAs, and Denver also has an explosive and promising young back in RJ Harvey. The other side of the ball is also elite, and the Broncos are also likely to fortify their cache of pass-catching weapons via free agency and/or the draft.
Jacksonville Jaguars (+2000): The version of Trevor Lawrence that head coach Liam Coen was able to coax to the surface in the second half of the 2025 season certainly made an impact and may have arguably saved the 2021 first overall pick’s Jaguars career. Assuming another exponential step forward with an additional offseason of immersion into the system, Jacksonville, which also boasts plenty of defensive talent, could certainly make a legitimate play for the AFC crown, at minimum, next season.
Chicago Bears (+2700): Much like Coen in the AFC, fellow offensive mastermind and first-year head coach Ben Johnson worked some magic with his own embattled one-time No. 1 overall pick in Caleb Williams during this past season. Williams may just need an additional offseason under Johnson’s tutelage to put his best foot forward, and an uptick in health next season for the defense could also make a significant difference in Chicago’s fortunes.
2027 Super Bowl Longshots
Indianapolis Colts (+4000): Somewhat lost in the 2025 late-season shuffle is how impressive Shane Steichen’s Colts were for more than half the season. Indy went into its Week 11 bye sporting an 8-2 record before the wheels came off, partly due to Daniel Jones’ season-ending Achilles injury in Week 14. Early offseason reports indicate the Colts plan to re-sign Jones, who blossomed under Steichen, and he’d once again be joined by Jonathan Taylor and a likely upgraded receiver corps that could make Indianapolis an offensive powerhouse.
New York Giants (+7500): Longshots are usually longshots for a reason, but Harbaugh’s arrival paired with the upside of Jaxson Dart make the G-Men a fun team to take a flyer on if one’s bankroll can support it. The Dart-Nabers connection has yet to have a chance to blossom, but it has the potential to quickly turn into one of the most dangerous in either conference. There’s plenty of upgrading to do, especially on the defensive side of the ball, but Harbaugh could potentially have a Mike Vrabel-like effect on his young quarterback and the rest of his new charges.
