Chicago Bears vs. Washington Commanders Same Game Parlay Picks
I’m not here to sell you on this Thursday Night Football matchup being the most exciting game of the week. In fact, this Bears vs. Commanders game might be the worst primetime matchup of the season. So how do we add some entertainment to this snoozer? How about a Same Game Parlay with the potential for a big payout if we hit? I’m building this SGP on BetMGM, but shop around to see what promotions are out there for this TNF matchup. Let’s get to work.
Leg 1: Brian Robinson Jr. 70+ Rushing Yards
Brian Robinson Jr. has quietly been very effective to start this season, ranking 13th in the NFL with 261 rushing yards despite running behind an offensive line that ranks dead last in average line yards per FTN. Just 84 of his yards have come before contact as a result per PFF.
Things get easier for Robinson on Thursday night as he faces a struggling Chicago run defense. The Bears rank 23rd in rushing EPA allowed and have allowed 115.5 rushing yards per game, which ranks 18th in the NFL. With the added benefit of an expected positive game script, Robinson should rack up yards on Thursday.
Leg 2: Brian Robinson Jr. Anytime Touchdown Scorer
In addition to Robinson’s rushing yardage prop, let’s bet on him to score a touchdown on Thursday night. Robinson has four touchdowns through four games this season and ranks eighth in the NFL with 12 red zone rushing attempts. When the Commanders get in the red zone, they give the ball to Robinson, and that should result in a touchdown here.
Leg 3: Justin Fields 200+ Passing Yards
While the Bears’ start to the season has been disappointing, Justin Fields is coming off a career-high 335 passing yards. He has over 200 passing yards in three of his four games this season after hitting that number in just 23% of his starts over his first two seasons. The Commanders have been vulnerable through the air, ranking 24th in pass defense EPA, so Fields could continue to have success this week.
Leg 4: D.J. Moore 50+ Receiving Yards
If we’re betting on Justin Fields to keep up his recent uptick in passing yardage production, it only makes sense to include his WR1, D.J. Moore. Last week, Moore had a season-high 131 passing yards, and he has over 100 yards in two of his last three games. The Commanders have allowed a 100-yard receiver in three straight weeks with A.J. Brown (175), Stefon Diggs (111), Marvin Mims Jr. (113), so feel free to take an increased alternate line on Moore in this game.
Leg 5: Washington Commanders Moneyline
To round out our Same Game Parlay, let’s take the home favorites on the Moneyline. The Commanders came very close to upsetting the Eagles last week with a touchdown as time expired to push the game to overtime, where they fell just short. This week, they get a much needed home win over a reeling 0-4 Bears team.
