Daniel Jones Player Prop Picks
It’s been a rough start to the season for Daniel Jones as he has just 570 yards and two touchdowns to four interceptions through three games. Heading into Week 4, he ranked 29th out of 34 qualified quarterbacks in yards per attempt. Will that change on Monday night?
The Seahawks certainly have a vulnerable pass defense – they rank 30th out of 32 teams in PFF coverage grades and are also 29th in dropback EPA allowed. This is a game where Jones should have plenty of success.
Daniel Jones Over/Under 230.5 Passing Yards
Daniel Jones has only been over this number in one of his three games this season, but the other two games were against top six pass defenses by EPA. Here, he faces a much easier matchup against a poor Seattle pass defense, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see him put in some work.
As far as this prop goes, I’d lean to the over, especially with the additions of Darren Waller and Jalin Hyatt. Giants head coach Brian Daboll will have some creative plays drawn up to help Jones capitalize on the opportunity in front of him.
Daniel Jones Over/Under 35.5 Rushing Yards
Through three games this season, Daniel Jones has over 35.5 rushing yards in two of them. He had 43 yards against the Cowboys and 59 against the Cardinals. It was surprising to see that his legs weren’t a significant part of the game plan against the 49ers, especially with Saquon Barkley out.
One of the biggest factors for the Giants’ success last season was Daboll’s use of Jones as a runner, and I expect them to get back to that tonight. The Seahawks were a middle-of-the-pack run defense against quarterbacks last season.
Daniel Jones Over/Under 0.5 Interceptions
We’re getting a pretty juicy line on Daniel Jones to throw an interception in this game as the odds are priced at +125 to the over on some books. That comes as a surprise to me as he’s thrown a pick in every game so far including two against the Cowboys.
The Seahawks are once again without two of their three starting cornerbacks, but Jamal Adams and Tariq Woolen are very capable of making a play on the ball. It’s worth noting that there was a 7-game stretch to close out last season where Jones only threw one pick, however.
Daniel Jones Over/Under 34.5 Longest Pass Completion
In addition to the standard passing yards and passing touchdowns for quarterbacks, sportsbooks allow you to bet on a quarterback’s longest completion in a game. For Daniel Jones, that number is at 34.5.
Jones has only been over this number in one of his three games, but I lean towards him being able to do it again tonight. The two games where he didn’t go over – against the Cowboys and 49ers – were ones where he was facing elite pass rushes. With more time in the pocket tonight, I like him to complete some downfield throws.
