FanDuel NFL Week 11 Tournament GPP Picks: Daily Fantasy Advice & Strategy
Contents
When playing in large-field tournaments, you need to balance players hitting their absolute ceiling for the week, whether with a stack of using a lineup of one-offs. Ownership is important, but many tournaments have been won with having a few high owned players that go off that week. This article will bring you my favorite tournament plays stretched across various prices where I am looking at them hitting their peak. Some will carry some ownership just for being top plays, while some will be lesser owned.
Quarterbacks
Ben Roethlisberger – $8,000 – Projection: 19.9
There have not been many better fantasy quarterbacks of late, as Ben Roethlisberger is averaging 23.2 FD points over his last three games and has been fairly safe this season, averaging 19.8. He gets the Jaguars this week, which is a plus matchup on all fronts. There are quite a few stacking partners to target with him, one listed below, but Claypool and JuJu are certainly in the works for a big week. Pittsburgh has an implied total of 28 points this week.
Lamar Jackson – $8,400 – Projection: 23.2
Lamar Jackson has certainly gotten a negative reaction from his play this season, although he hasn’t necessarily been a bad fantasy quarterback. The ownership should continue to be mediocre, which I like to target, especially against the Titans. Baltimore has a four-touchdown implied total, and Jackson has a 26 FD point ceiling this season and is averaging 20.7 on the season. He has rushed 13.3 times over the last three games, and that rushing potential is always there.
Running Backs
– $8,200 – Projection: 18.2
Baltimore will come across as a good run defense in all of the projections and DvP pages, and they are when at full strength. Over the past three games, they have allowed the 11th most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. With the interior defense banged up, Derrick Henry is a sneaky good play this week. He has 22.8 rushing attempts on the season and is averaging 17.3 fantasy points despite not really hitting his point of the season yet.
Nyheim Hines – $6,100 – Projection: 12.1
Nyheim Hines is coming off a big game and has had some big games this season, but the Colts backfield remains a committee. However, Jonathan Taylor’s role continues to get smaller. The Packers run defense continues to struggle, which has been a problem dating back to last season. Hines has averaged 16.8 FD points per game over the last three games and has seven rushing attempts and 4.7 targets per game in that span. With Kallen Ballage being the popular cheap option, Hines is a nice pivot.
Wide Receivers
Diontae Johnson – $6,400 – Projection: 11.9
When Diontae Johnson is healthy, he is a must for DFS lineups. The issue has been the injuries and a few games he has left early in. Otherwise, he is a safe bet for 8+ targets and now adding in the matchup against the Jaguars and allowing the 11th most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers this season. $6,400 is also a nice bargain.
With the Titans allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. Marquise Brown and the Ravens offense as a whole is ready for a breakout. Tennessee has allowed 4 20+ fantasy point receivers this season and 8 15+ fantasy point receivers on the year. Brown continues to plummet in price, and $5,900 he is well worth the price tag.
Amari Cooper – $6,900 – Projection: 11.8
Most of the Cowboys offense has fallen in price, and for a good reason, they have been god-awful. Amari Cooper is now $6,900 and going up against a Vikings secondary that allows the 4th most fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season. Minnesota has allowed monster games to WR1s this season, of course, Davante Adams, but Will Fuller and DK Metcalf as well. They are a young secondary that has a tough task dealing with all these WRs this week.
Tight End
Hayden Hurst – $5,500 – Projection: 8.8
Hayden Hurst is in a good spot this week and has averaged 7.3 targets per game over the last three. He is averaging six on the season and has been around the nine fantasy point mark in the last three. The Saints have struggled against tight ends this season, allowing the 6th most fantasy points per game and six touchdowns overall in nine games. Hurst is a cheaper option to consider.
Defense
Miami Dolphins – $4,800 – Projection: 9.7
Drew Lock may or may not play this week, but he is dealing with some injuries and the turnovers have been at a league-high for the Broncos this season. They are allowing the most fantasy points per game to opposing defenses this season and Miami has been on another level in terms of fantasy scoring of late. They have scored the 5th most over the course of the season and the most fantasy point sper game over the last five weeks.
