Quarterbacks

Russell Wilson remains your top-priced quarterback this week and while the matchup isn’t pretty, this is still a game with a 54.5 over/under and Wilson is averaging 28.6 fantasy points over his last three games. If he ends up being lower owned, I like him a lot in tournaments and that should be the case with the four quarterbacks below him in better spots. Kyler Murray and Josh Allen are in strong spots against each other this week and both their rushing floors help them a lot if the passing numbers fall short for some reason. Not that I am expecting them to. Aaron Rodgers gets Jacksonville and they have a 31.5 implied total. The Packers big three is certainly a strong option this week.

Deshaun Watson gets a strong matchup this week against the Browns, who are allowing 4% more than the league average to quarterbacks this season. Watson has averaged 26 FD points over his last three games and has been strong. You can also look on the other side of this game with Baker Mayfield against the Texans secondary. He is only $7,000 and faces a bottom-five pass defense. Jared Goff and Carson Wentz are two mid-range plays in great spots.

Running Backs

It isn’t exactly a loaded week at running back but there are a few strong options up top. Alvin Kamara continues to be in play averaging 17 fantasy points over his last three games. San Francisco is a solid run defense but Kamara’s usage makes him a weekly play. Aaron Jones is in the big spot this week against Jacksonville, who has struggled against backs all season. Jones has monster upside this week and the Packers are a double-digit home favorite. Nick Chubb has practiced in full and without any brace this week. He gets the Texans run defense that has allowed 29% more production than the league average to running backs on the year. This is a great welcome back game for Chubb and I want to deploy him right away.

Miles Sanders is also back this week and it is a good spot for him. He had a full workload in the games earlier this season when he returned from his first injury. I like the matchup and price for him this week. James Conner was a let down last week but is still in a good spot and recency bias should keep his ownership down in tournaments. James Robinson has a negative spread but has all season and gets a Packers run defense that continues to struggle. Robinson is still very much in play at $7,300. Giovani Bernard, Antonio Gibson, JD McKissic, and Duke Johnson are a couple of cheap values to consider in lineup builds, but all four are not locks for a safe floor.

Wide Receivers

Davante Adams is miles above everybody in price this week and given he is averaging 31 FD points in his last three games it makes a lot of sense. He is a great option this week but certainly pricey. The Seahawks wide receivers have a tough matchup with the Rams allowing 32% fewer fantasy points on average to wide receivers this season. However, Lockett and Metcalf are still in play. It will be the Rams wide receivers that garnish a lot of the attention. Cooper Kupp popped up on the injury list so we will need to monitor him but Seattle is allowing the most fantasy points per game to wide receivers. Both him and Robert Woods are excellent plays. The wide receivers from the Cardinals-Bills are in great spots and both John Brown and Christian Kirk are solid values compared to the expensive Diggs and Hopkins.

The Texans and Browns game brings some wide receivers to the table. Jarvis Landry and Brandin Cooks remain reasonably priced and both secondaries have struggled this season. Will Fuller is also a strong play at $7,100 and has a 20 FD point ceiling. DJ Chark at $6,600 is a great play because of the volume, even though it is in a tough matchup. However, the Packers might be down in the secondary if Alexander can’t get cleared in time. Brandon Aiyuk, Steelers WRs, DeVante Parker, Mike Williams, Jerry Jeudy, and Jalen Reagor are all strong values.

Tight Ends

This is not a good week for tight ends, and overall it has not been a great season. With Travis Kelce on bye, there is no safe pay-up option. I like Darren Waller but his ceiling isn’t quite as obtainable each week compared to Kelce, and he comes in at $7,000. He has averaged ten points over his last ten games and if he hits that mark, I won’t love it for the price. TJ Hockenson popped up on the injury report again after practicing, which is a bit ominous. It is a good matchup for him if he can trend upwards this week. Dallas Goedert is someone to look at with the Eagles coming off a bye. He was on IR before the Dallas game and returned to a one-target game. Don’t let that deter you from using him this week, especially with the upside he has as a TE1 in this offense right now. Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper, and Mike Gesicki are interesting dart throw this week for cheap.

Defense

The Steelers didn’t deliver last week and while they face an offense that can put up points, this is a team that allows a ton of sacks and still has a young quarterback throwing a ton of volume. The upside is there for the Steelers but they are not a lock. I like Green Bay just a bit cheaper this week getting Jacksonville, who have allowed over three sacks per game and have an inexperienced quarterback under center. The defense I like the most this week is Philadelphia. They are averaging 12.3 fantasy points over the last three games and get a Giants team allowing over three sacks per game and turning the ball over 1.7 times per game.
