Genesis Invitational Odds & Golf DFS Picks: 4 Sleeper Picks, Including 135-1 Longshot

The West Coast swing gets one last stand as we return to California for the second Signature Event in successive weeks. This time, it’s the famed Riviera Country Club taking center stage, back to host the 2026 Genesis Invitational in Los Angeles. Golf betting longshots have not quite crossed the line from an outright perspective thus far in 2026, but we’ve seen plenty of surprise contenders already. Akshay Bhatia and Ryo Hisatsune were both featured in this article last week, and were co-leaders over the weekend at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am before being chased down by Collin Morikawa. We’ll look to keep that momentum going in search of yet another winner in this week’s golf DFS picks column.

This Signature Event features a limited field of just 72 players, and each of the top five favorites will enter in great form with proven past success at Riviera CC. Considering this event has a long history of rewarding Major-contenders who thrive in difficult scoring conditions, I won’t have much exposure to long shots on my betting card, but identifying the right sleepers is still crucial for fantasy in weeks like these.

Let’s get to our 2026 Genesis Invitational longshots and sleepers for golf DFS picks and betting cards. Click on the odds anywhere below to bet now using the best available prices in your state.

Finding Value in the Genesis Invitational Field

To identify “value” any given week on the PGA TOUR, I find it’s best first to understand the consensus key stat profile, then take a stance on the elements of the tournament that may go overlooked. At the Genesis Invitational, Course History, Recent Form, and Bogey Avoidance in comparable difficult scoring conditions are consensus key areas factored into each player’s price.

From a sleeper perspective, I will take a stance on the importance of Proximity from 150-200 yards, Approach Proximity from the Rough, and Scrambling from the Rough as key areas to differentiate my player pool and find value for this week’s tournament.

Below, find my favorite golf DFS picks and longshots for the 2026 Genesis Invitational. Stats were pulled across the last 36 rounds unless otherwise noted. Each player is listed with the best price in Genesis Invitational odds.

Adam Scott

We’ve already seen a 45-year-old turn back the clock and dominate once this West Coast swing, so what’s to stop Adam Scott from joining Justin Rose in their fight against Father Time? Riviera CC has proven to have a sticky course history, as Scott is one of three multi-winners of the Genesis Invitational over the last 20 years (joined by Bubba Watson and Phil Mickelson). Each of these veterans also shares a Green Jacket in common, as players who’ve proven they can handle the test of Augusta National have consistently been able to flex their distance, shot-shaping, and touch around the greens at Riviera CC as well.

Scott’s ball-striking is as good as ever to start the 2026 season; he ranks No. 4 in SG: Ball Striking over the last 36 rounds. Some mediocre short game has held Scott back from contending early in this season, but there is something about Riviera CC that brings out the best around greens. Scott has gained in terms of SG: Short Game in five of his last six Genesis Invitational starts. If that part of his game rebounds, he’ll be positioned well to chase his third career win at this event.

Shane Lowry

Lowry looked strong in his first start of the 2026 PGA TOUR season last week with a T8 finish at Pebble Beach. That marks his fifth top-12 finish over his last six starts, having stayed active and sharp on the DP World Tour since the end of last season. Lowry should welcome a return to challenging scoring conditions, where he can lean on his strength of Scrambling and elite Approach play to separate. Lowry is one of just four players in this field to rank top-10 in both SG: Approach and Bogey Avoidance (Difficult Scoring Conditions).

In addition to his hot form, Lowry has also proven he can handle Riviera CC, coming off a solid T15 showing in his most recent appearance at the 2023 Genesis Invitational. In expected soft and windy conditions, I expect Lowry’s trending approach play and short game to help him separate from this field. He’s a player I have circled in both DFS and placement betting markets.xdcs

Tony Finau

Finau was the very last man added to the field by way of the final Sponsor Invite slot. It’s possible those sponsors were challenging him to earn his way in, and he did just that by firing a final round 66 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am to finish inside the top-20. That makes two top-20 finishes in his last three starts for Finau, who also finished T11 at Torrey Pines earlier this month. That is a very promising development for him, as he’d gone 10 consecutive starts since the 2025 PGA Championship without posting a top-20 finish before the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open.

Finau’s course history is among the best in this loaded field, finishing in the top 20 in five of his last seven appearances here, with a pair of runner-up finishes over that span. With Finau, we’ve come to expect solid tee-to-green performance and extremely volatile putting. As a long shot in this limited field, though, I love Finau’s upside, having just led the entire field in SG: Putting on similar Poa greens at last week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Ryo Hisatsune

Hisatsune’s torrent start to 2026 continues, as he’ll look to keep the pedal down this week on the heels of three straight top-10 finishes at the Farmers Insurance Open, WM Phoenix Open, and AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. I’m optimistic this is more than just a quick heater for the 2023 DP World Tour Rookie of the year, too. In each of his last three starts, Hisatsune has gained on the field across the board in terms of SG: OTT, SG: APP, SG: ARG, and SG: P. That signals staying power to me, especially when considering he has already withstood California Poa greens multiple times at Torrey Pines and Pebble Beach.

Hisatsune profiles as an accurate ball striker best suited for positional courses that reward keeping the ball in the fairway. Hisatsune’s lone professional win came in 2023 at Le Golf National, a challenging setup that rewards accuracy, much like Riviera CC. In a limited field, Signature Event format, which is known to strip value from longshots, Hisatsune jumps out to me as the most mis-priced for his current form.

Best of luck if you bet or play these golf DFS picks for the 2026 Genesis Invitational.
