NBA Best Player Prop Picks, Odds, Predictions for Wednesday, May 20, 2026
The Spurs and Thunder engaged in a Game 1 battle for the ages Monday night, and Victor Wembanyama made history in the process with a record-setting performance. That essentially makes Game 2 a must-win scenario for OKC, teeing up what should be one momentous night of playoff basketball.
As customary, we zero in on three player props to consider for tonight’s action. Also, be sure to check out our daily NBA betting trends page for odds and data on every game.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC) – Over Points + Assists
Somewhat lost in the well-deserved hoopla about Wemby’s dominant Game 1 and San Antonio’s upset victory was another standout effort on the part of the newly minted and now two-time MVP, Gilgeous-Alexander. The superstar guard provided 36 points + assists across a massive 51-minute workload, but it’s important note it came on atypically poor 7-for-23 shooting from the field. Gilgeous-Alexander is now averaging 36.3 points + assists across 36.6 minutes over nine postseason games and has exceeded the 35.5 number in the two home postseason games thus far that have been decided by single digits.
SGA has averaged 35.2 points + assists in five encounters overall with the Spurs since the start of the regular season, and prior to Monday’s inefficiency, he’d shot 50.6 percent against San Antonio in the four regular-season encounters. With plenty of urgency on the Thunder’s part expected Wednesday, Gilgeous-Alexander should assert himself early and is virtually certain to play an outsized role as both a scorer and facilitator.

Stephon Castle (SAO) – Over 3 Pointers Made
Castle was another guard who stood out in Game 1, turning in 34 points + rebounds + assists over 49 minutes. Like Gilgeous-Alexander, Castle wasn’t at his most efficient, draining just five of his 14 attempts from the floor, including only one of his six tries from three-point range. However, the 2024 second overall pick had been running hot from distance coming into Game 1, as he’d connected on 46.7% of his shots from behind the arc over the previous 10 games while draining multiple treys on seven occasions in that span.
Castle has shot 41.1% from distance since the start of the playoffs, and he had an even better 44.1% success rate from three-point range over the last nine games of the regular season. He shot 42.9% from downtown in five regular-season games against the Thunder as well, and despite its well-earned reputation as a standout defensive team, OKC has allowed 13.8 made three-pointers per home game since the start of the regular season, the third-highest figure of any team in the original 16-team playoff field.

Jalen Williams (OKC) – Over Points + Rebounds
Williams didn’t miss a beat in his long-awaited return to action in Game 1, putting an end to a six-game absence due to a hamstring injury by compiling 33 points + rebounds, along with three assists, one steal and one block, over 37 minutes. Williams may have had a bit of rust — he went 11-for-25 from the field — but he could very well ascend back to the mean after shooting 48.4% in the regular season and 61.5% in the first two games of the first-round series against the Suns before suffering his injury. Williams averaged 20.3 points + rebounds over 31.0 minutes in four regular-season meetings with the Spurs while shooting a solid 36.4% from three-point range.
The talented wing went 2-2 to the 21.5 figure in that span, but one of the games he didn’t cash was an odd 20-point effort in which he didn’t pull down a single rebound, the only such instance during the regular season. Williams has converted 51.7% of his 9.7 rebound chances per game in his three postseason contests thus far, giving him a solid floor of 5.0 rebounds per contest. Williams has scored at least 17 points in 22 of 36 games since the start of the campaign — including in four of five contests against the Spurs — supporting the notion he can punch this ticket in a game he should be aggressive in.
