Baltimore Ravens vs. Cincinnati Bengals Player Prop Picks
The Ravens earned a decisive win over the Texans in Week 1 while the Bengals fell flat, dropping a 24-3 loss to the Browns. Will Joe Burrow bounce back in this home divisional game?
You can use the player prop search tool above to make sure you’re getting the best odds for whichever player prop you’re interested in. Let’s get to work.
Ja’Marr Chase Over 79.5 Receiving Yards (-115 BetMGM)
Ja’Marr Chase has owned the Ravens throughout his career. He’s over this number in four of five games in his career against Baltimore, including 170 yards and two touchdowns across two games in the span of a week earlier this year – one in the regular season and one in the playoffs.
Chase was held to just five catches for 39 yards against the Browns last week, which was frankly impressive compared to his teammate Tee Higgins, who finished with no catches on 8 targets. Nothing about the Bengals’ offense was working against the Browns as Joe Burrow was under constant duress.
Burrow should have more time in the pocket against the Ravens who ranked just 17th in pass rush win rate against a Texans’ team that was onto backups and third stringers along the offensive line. Expect a big bounceback game from Burrow here, and Chase will be a big part of that effort.
Joe Burrow Over 263.5 Passing Yards (-115 Caesars)
It’s Joe Shiesty bounceback week, and I’m loving this passing yardage line here. Burrow was the best quarterback in the NFL last season by PFF passing grade, and his 5,195 passing yards ranked second behind only Patrick Mahomes. We shouldn’t overreact to a bad outing against a Cleveland defense that I believe is elite.
The Ravens’ secondary is hurting right now as safety Marcus Williams hit the IR while cornerback Marlon Humphrey is questionable after missing Week 1. Those are their two best players in the secondary, and for a team without a star pass rusher, those injuries hurt even more.
Burrow gets to lick his wounds and go back home here, and I expect him to have a much bigger performance. If you want to take his passing touchdowns prop, I don’t hate it, but it’s pretty juiced across the board, so I’d lean towards the passing yards instead. A Same Game Parlay could be a great move here.
Zay Flowers Over Receiving Yards
I can’t provide a specific number for this prop as the lines haven’t been released when I’m writing this article, but I have to spread some propaganda – I LOVE rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers. The Boston College product had nine catches for 78 yards last week, and believe me when I tell you – he is just getting started.
Flowers had an insane 45.5% target share in Week 1 with 2.89 yards per route run, and he appears to be an early focal point for the Ravens’ offense. He draws a tougher matchup this week against Bengals’ slot corner Mike Hilton, who’s one of the best in the business, but Flowers is still capable of producing.
The Ravens will have to air the ball out more this week as the Bengals will push the pace and put points on the board. Expect Lamar Jackson’s burgeoning connection with Zay Flowers to continue growing as the Ravens open up their offense more this week.
