This number feels low. Yes, Bryce Young struggled in Week 1 – his 36.3 PFF passing grade was the worst in the league. However, he’s a rookie quarterback who was making his first start on the road in a hostile environment and a divisional matchup. Now coming home, he should be more productive.
Young was pressured on a whopping 45.2% of his drop backs last week, a catastrophic number. I expect that to decline this week against a Saints defense that ranked dead last in pass rush win rate last season. New Orleans lost multiple key pieces on the line and didn’t look better in Week 1 with the sixth-lowest pass rush win rate.
Leg 3: Jamaal Williams Anytime Touchdown (+130)
Jamaal Williams was a touchdown machine last season as he scored in 10 of his 18 games. The Saints don’t have nearly the offensive line that the Lions did for Williams, but it’s clear that he’ll be their goal-line back and I expect him to find some touchdowns throughout the season.
The Panthers allowed two rushing touchdowns to Tyler Allgeier last week and a receiving touchdown to Bijan Robinson. Williams isn’t going to be much of a threat in the passing game, but he’s a good bet to score a touchdown most weeks given his powerful stature and role as the goal-line back for the Saints.
