World Cup Anytime Goal Scoring Picks, Odds, Predictions for Monday, June 15, 2026
Spain is a World Cup favorite this year for many good reasons, although one of the main ones — 18-year-old wunderkind Lamine Yamal — may be sidelined for his team’s opening match on Monday as he completes recovery from a hamstring injury that worried La Roja fans when it manifested nearly two months ago.
Spain certainly won’t need him for the match against Cape Verde — a feel-good African qualifier story to be sure, but not a serious challenge to Spain’s title aspirations — as plenty of other goal scorers look to feed in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Monday also brings second-tier favorites Belgium and Uruguay into action, with Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku leading the Red Devils once again, while La Celeste will be without the services of Luis Suarez — passed over for selection, despite his decision to unretire on the eve of the World Cup, to end a streak of appearances dating back to 2010, when his infamous handball controversially helped get his team to the semifinal round.
Both teams will feature an emerging generation of talented scorers who very well might find themselves on the scoresheet. Make sure to check out our World Cup match trends page for daily odds, insights and betting data for each game.
- Pedri, Spain
- Jérémy Doku, Belgium
- Brian Rodríguez, Uruguay
Pedri, Spain
Lots of scoring should happen against Cape Verde on Monday — don’t be surprised if we get our first 5-0 or 6-0 scoreline of the tournament. Though Lamine Yamal fans will want to wait until starting lineups are announced to gauge his goalscoring chances, know that a number of other attackers, including Mikel Oyarzabal and Ferran Torres, stand to find the back of the net.
Pedri isn’t among the top tier of Spanish scorers, as he’s the midfield catalyst who sets up much of La Roja’s goals, but given how much scoring there could be to go around, a goal for the Barceola midfielder — benefiting from the movement and danger of those higher up the pitch — looks a distinct possibility.
Jérémy Doku, Belgium
The Manchester City man has been a reliable contributor to his club’s title winnings this season (including an FA Cup and EFL Cup), and has seven international goals to his credit dating back to his beginnings with the Red Devils’ senior squad in 2020 as a teenager.
Still just 24, and the veteran of one World Cup appearance, Doku should be a fixture on this team for at least another decade. On Monday against Egypt, he’ll have a chance to notch his first World Cup goal and cement his role as one of Belgium’s prime attackers.
Brian Rodríguez, Uruguay
The Club América attacker is familiar with playing on American shores, having stopped in MLS with LAFC before a loan to Almeria and then his current landing spot in Liga MX. Rodríguez’s first international goal came back in 2019, scoring against the U.S. in St. Louis, and La Celeste landed in Miami for this World Cup opener against Saudi Arabia. It’s absolutely a set up for Rodríguez to score in a semi-familar setting that should be friendly to his side.
The June 26 final group stage match against Spain will be one to circle on the calendar, especially with both teams likely to come into this match with six points and a glut of goal differential. Goals actually might be tough to come by in that one, but that won’t be the case for either of the group favorites on Monday.
