It has been an odd first two games for the Eagles offense as they have looked anemic at times. Especially through the air, relying on more conservative throws instead of taking shots down the field. If it wasn’t for their ground game to bail them out against the Vikings, then this team could realistically be 1-1. Jalen Hurts now needs to find answers against the Bucs defense, potentially relying on his legs once again.
Jalen Hurts Anytime Touchdown
This was one of my favorite props in their matchup against the Vikings, now riding it once again as Jalen Hurts will need to use his mobility to crack the Bucs vaunted defense.

The Bucs are top-10 in Def EPA and base a brunt of their success in the front seven. Even against the best offensive line in football, the Bucs ability to send pressure while also disrupting the middle will give this anemic Eagles pass attack fits. The ground game is due for regression after Swift turned in a monster performance against the Vikings defense.
That leaves Jalen Hurts to command the second level of the defense attention as he burns the unit with his legs in scrambling situations and designed runs. Especially in the red zone where the Bucs linebackers get a head start by creeping towards the line in a shortened field. Factor in the added attempts in goal line situations with the tush push and Jalen Hurts should find himself in a good position to cash this.
Jalen Hurts Under 30.5 Pass Attempts
It’s tough to pinpoint where exactly this offensive identity is heading, but it’s apparent that it will once again feature a heavy dose of the run. With extra rushing attempts in a crowded backfield comes fewer passing opportunities to our wagering benefit.
D’Andre Swift reminded the nation that he is a dangerous dual threat back while Rashaad Penny plays second fiddle. Factor in Kenneth Gainwell returning from injury and there will be plenty of mouths to feed in the ground game.
While the Bucs front seven is one of the better units in the league, the Eagles offensive line is more than capable of negating the push and opening up lanes for their running backs. The ground game should not skip a beat, eating away at Hurts pass attempts in an effort to dominate the time of possession. Factor in the Eagles as slight favorites and they should avoid a late game heavy passing scenario as well.
