NBA DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks 12/23/19

Point Guard
Jamal Murray ($7,200) vs Suns– Jamal Murray has been excellent in his last two games scoring 40+ FPTS in each contest. In the last 5 games he is averaging 20.2 PPG 5.6 RPG and 4.0 APG which is good for around 35.3 FPPG. Murray has been a bit inconsistent this year but with Jokic finally starting to play really well this has opened up some opportunities for him to score more. Murray rebounds very well for a guard and a matchup tonight against Ricky Rubio and the Suns pretty weak guard rotation he could be in for another big night. I like playing streaky shooters and Murray is someone who fits that criteria in a good matchup tonight against Phoenix.
Shooting Guard
Joe Ingles ($6,000) vs Heat– With Mike Conley getting injured, that has forced Joe Ingles back into the starting lineup for the time being. He has been playing very well averaging 16 PPG 6.0 RPG and 5.4 APG while shooting an outstanding 53.8% from 3 and 56.9% from the field. The shooting numbers are off the chart for Ingles and he is doing a little bit of everything with the Jazz’s lack of a true starting point guard for the time being. The Heat are a tough defensive team but given the structure of the Jazz lineup I think Ingles has a very high floor and if he keeps shooting it well could be in for a big night.
Small Forward
Kelly Oubre Jr. ($6,600) vs Nuggets– Another player who has continued to thrive is Kelly Oubre Jr for the Phoenix Suns. He comes into this one with 19.8 PPG and 4.2 RPG in his last 5 games and he has been effective on the defensive end averaging 1.6 SPG in those last 5. The Nuggets are allowing the 5th most points to opposing forwards this year and Oubre possess a unique skillset with his ability to shoot the ball and drive so he could be a matchup problem. This slate is huge tonight so getting a guy almost putting up 20 a game at $6,600 feels like a solid deal to me.
Power Forward
Kevin Love ($7,400) vs Hawks– Kevin Love’s name has been tossed around in trade rumors over the past week and he has been showcasing why team’s should trade for him if they want to make a deep playoff run. Love is putting up 17.6 PPG 12.2 RPG and shooting a superb 45.7% from behind the arc in his last 5 games and has a great matchup vs the Hawks. John Collins will be back in this one but it is unclear how much he will play because he has been out a month or so. Either way Love should be able to dominate on the glass vs this Hawks team that isn’t the best at rebounding and while he is shooting it well I would have him on my roster no question.
Center
Nikola Jokic ($9,100) vs Suns– Jokic got off to a very slow start but he has started to silence his haters with his play as of late. He is averaging 22.6 PPG 10.8 RPG and 9.0 RPG in the last 5 games while shooting it 45.8% from 3. Jokic is always a threat to not score a lot in any given game but the Suns have had troubles stopping center’s this season ranking 26th on DK against them so far this season. Jokic just does too much for me not to have him on my roster vs this type of Suns team.
Sleeper Play
Derrick White ($4,000) vs Grizzlies– With this slate being a big one at 11 games there is a lot of value that you can find at around $4,000. White has averaged 23.2 FPTS in each of his last 5 games and has shot the ball extremely well, 59.5%. The Spurs are an interesting offensive team and they have been struggling but White is one of their best players off the bench and he has been proving why as of late. He won’t go out and give you 50 FPTS but he does a little bit of everything which allows him to be a solid value play tonight against a banged up Grizzlies team.
