NBA DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks 12/31/19

Point Guard
Jamal Murray ($6,800) vs Rockets– Jamal Murray continues to play really well for the Nuggets alongside Nikola Jokic, who has picked up his play over the last month or so. He comes into this game averaging 32.5 FPTS per game and has shot a solid 33% from behind the arc. They will take on the Rockets tonight who are not known for their defense and are currently allowing the 3rd most fantasy points to opposing guards this season. I like Murray in this New Year’s Eve matchup between two of the better teams in the western conference.
Shooting Guard
Alec Burks ($5,300) vs Spurs– Alec Burks has been playing off the bench lately but he has been a great bench scorer and even though his minutes have hovered around 25 minutes he still shoots it over 10 times and game and is pretty active on the glass for a guard. Burks comes into this game averaging 31.3 FPPG with 4.0 RPG and 3.2 APG along with his points. He is a solid middle tier option tonight vs the Spurs who have a middle tier defense.
Small Forward
Draymond Green ($6,100) vs Spurs– Another Warriors player I like tonight vs the Spurs is Draymond Green. Green hasn’t put up the stats we have seen in the past for him but he has shot over 40% from 3 in each of his last 3 games and with D’Angelo Russell in the lineup it has opened up a lot more opportunities for assists. He is averaging 12 PPG 7.8 RPG and 5.6 APG over the course of his last 5 games so I have no worries getting him in the lineup at only $6,100 tonight vs the Spurs on the road.
Power Forward
Kevin Love ($7,500) vs Raptors– Love continues to dominate for the Cavs amidst trade rumors that have been circulating over the last couple of weeks. In the last 3 games he has put up 23.7 PPG 9.3 RPG and is shooting 43.8% from behind the arc. He has always been an elite rebounder but when his shot is falling he is a hard man to stop. The Raptors have struggled defending big men this season, 25th vs the position on DK so far this year, and someone with the skill level of Love should be able to exploit that.
Center
Steven Adams ($6,600) vs Mavericks– Adams didn’t have his best game vs the Raptors in their last time out but he should have a good opportunity to bounce back vs a Mavs team that lacks size and have at times struggled vs strong centers like Adams. Adams is averaging a double-double with 13.8 PPG and 10.0 RPG on 63% shooting in the last 5 games. Adams is just too big and strong for these Mavs bigs and with Chris Paul playing as good as he has all year he should have ample opportunities.
Sleeper Play
Trey Lyles ($3,500) vs Warriors– Lyles’s playing time hasn’t been very consistent but he has played 20 minutes in each of his last 3 games and has stuffed the stat sheet quite a bit. He is averaging 6.2 PPG 4.4 RPG 2.0 APG which is good for 16.8 FPTS in the last 5 games and we should expect more if he continues to play more like we have seen in the last 3. The Warriors may be a tough matchup for him but with his ability to stretch the floor I think he could offer some value at only $3,500 in this extremely small slate.
