NBA DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks 2/23/21

Point Guard

Fred VanVleet ($7,900) vs Bucks- Fred VanVleet continues to stuff the stat sheet for the Raptors and has shown no matter who is in the lineup he can still hit his numbers. In the last 5 games he is averaging 21.4 PPG 4.8 RPG 6.6 APG to go along with over a steal a game. Kyle Lowry has been banged up and may play tonight but even if he does I think FVV is a very solid play. In 2 games vs the 76ers he hasn’t even played his best and is still averaging 40 FPPG. His price has increased recently but he still offers value in this spot in my opinion.

Shooting Guard

Michael Carter-Williams ($5,500) vs Pistons- Michael Carter-Williams isn’t somebody who you would think is a good fantasy option but he has been pretty solid at the starting point guard spot for the Magic. His shooting is awful, there is no arguing that, but other than that he is averaging 5.6 APG 4.8 RPG and has consistently added a couple of defensive stats in every game. MCW has a high floor for a guy at this price in my opinion and if he can take advantage of the Pistons defense he should exceed what is expected of him tonight.

Small Forward

Josh Jackson ($5,800) vs Magic- Josh Jackson has been up and down in his Pistons career so far but with Blake Griffin going out & other injuries he has taken a larger role in the offense. He is averaging almost 30 FPPG in the last 5 and he is coming off of a game vs the Magic where he put up 23 shots. The Magic lack a real rim protector and struggle a bit on the defensive end as a whole. He is just too involved in the offense for me to pass up on him at this price. We just need to hope he can be a little more efficient this time out.

Power Forward

Tobias Harris ($8,300) vs Raptors- There is a general disrespect around the NBA and Tobias Harris and I don’t seem to know why. He has been superb this year and in the last 5 games alone he is putting up 22.6 PPG 9.2 RPG and 5.2 APG on over 50% shooting from the field. Against the Raptors this season he is averaging 43.4 FPPG and has consistently contributed in all 3 major offensive categories. Tobias has recently been reported to be upset with no being included in 76ers “big 3” talk so I would expect him to be at his best in this one to prove the doubters wrong.

Center

Jarrett Allen ($7,500) vs Hawks- Jarrett Allen is finally getting consistent playing time and he is making the most of it. He is averaging a superb 19.2 PPG 11.4 RPG and 1.6 BPG on 68.5% from the field in the last 5 games and is coming off arguably the best game of his career. The Hawks rank 19th vs opposing centers on DK this season and with the way they play there should be a lot of opportunity for rebounds and he should be able to get a good amount of action on the offensive end. It won’t be easy vs Clint Capela but at this price I think he can easily be one of the best return on investments on the slate.

Sleeper Play

Robin Lopez ($3,800) vs Clippers- It’s scary rostering any Wizards center knowing that Scott Brooks love to change up his rotation much too frequently when it comes to his big men. But it looks like Robin Lopez has carved out some really decent playing time over the last handful of games. He hasn’t played less than 25 minutes in 4 of the last 5 games and in all of those games he has scored double digit points. His rebound numbers leave a lot to be desired but if Russell Westbrook is limited on the 2nd game of a back to back those numbers should go up a bit. Even if he is in the lineup he plays a lot and can rack up counting stats easily for someone that is priced at under $4,000.
