NBA DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks 3/2/21

Point Guard
Derrick Rose ($5,900) vs Spurs- Derrick Rose hasn’t been starting every game for the Knicks, but he has still been very productive off the bench. Due to injury, he has started the last 3 games he hasn’t seen a huge production increase, and that is not something that I would worry about. In the last 5 games, he is averaging 13.8 PPG and 6.4 APG which has carried him to almost 30 FPPG. The Knicks are playing great basketball right now and Rose’s playmaking ability has been a big part of their success. I like him tonight vs a Spurs team coming off a tough OT loss last night.
Shooting Guard
Devin Booker ($8,100) vs Lakers– Devin Booker won western conference player of the week this past week, and for very good reason. He has started to get red-hot scoring the basketball. In the last 6 games, Booker is putting up 29.7 PPG 4.0 APG, and 3.3 RPG while shooting over 53% from the field and 42% from the 3 point line. He started the season off a little slow but he is back to the player we know. With Booker playing this well I wouldn’t expect anything less than 40 FPPG from him against the Lakers in LA.
Small Forward
Davis Bertans ($4,700) vs Grizzlies- When he is on, Davis Bertans is one of the best 3 point shooters in the game with the ability to knock down a shot from pretty much anywhere across the half-court line. This season has been tough for him with a variety of visa issues/COVID issues etc.. He showed some flashes that he was back a week or so ago and he has done that again in the last 2 games. He has 10 threes in the last 2 games and has failed to score less than 28 FPTS in those contests. Bertans is risky because he doesn’t do much other than score but I like him in this matchup with him shooting the ball so well.
Power Forward
Julius Randle ($9,300) vs Spurs- Julius Randle has been one of the biggest surprises of the 1st half of the season thus far. He is a 1st-time all-star and for good reason, in the last 5 games alone he is averaging 24.8 PPG 11.2 RPG 5.4 APG, and has shot the ball at 48% from behind the arc. This stuffing of the stat sheet has allowed him to average over 50 FPPG in those games and just short of that for the whole season. The Knicks are playing the best basketball they have in years and Randle is the key reason why. I love Randle at this price tonight vs a Spurs team that is giving up the 5th most fantasy points to opposing PF/C’s this season on DK.
Center
Deandre Ayton ($6,700) vs Lakers- Ayton flies under the radar but he has quietly been putting up some solid numbers as an alternative option in Phoenix. In the last 6 games, he is averaging 17 PPG 9 RPG on 64.6% from the field. He doesn’t shoot the ball from behind the arc so his upside is limited but he is almost good for a double-double in every game. The Lakers have been struggling on offense since the AD injury so that should open up even more opportunities on the glass if they don’t shoot well again in this game. With 8+ FG makes in 3 of his last 4 games I love Ayton in this matchup tonight and especially at this price.
Sleeper Play
Justise Winslow ($3,900) vs Wizards- Winslow hasn’t played in a game in almost 2 years prior to his recent return and it looks like he is already getting in a groove. He has scored over 19 fantasy points in 3 of his 4 games since his return, and he is already getting over 20 minutes per game. Winslow may not score 20 points in this game but he will pass the ball and make an impact on the glass. The Wizards defense leaves a lot to be desired so to have a guy who can fill up the stat sheet like Winslow is a plus.
