Top Pitchers

Sonny Gray ($9,400) vs Pirates
Sonny Gray isn’t heard from much on the Reds but he has been dominant over the past month. In the last 30 days Gray owns a 1.62 ERA 0.78 WHIP and has held batters to a batting average of .167. He has also struck out 42 batters in 33.1 innings of work. He will be up against the Pirates tonight who have really been struggling as of late especially on the offensive end since the all-star break. Considering the other pitchers on tonight’s slate I think we are getting great value with Gray only price at $9,400.

Brad Keller ($8,400) vs Blue Jays
Keller has been one of the biggest bright spots of the Royals rotation this year and he has been even better in his last 3 starts posting a 1.27 ERA over 21.1 innings He isn’t a big strikeout guy but he has good enough control to where he won’t walk too many batters and limit the hits. Aside from a blowup 6 ER start Keller has allowed only 4 runs in his last 5 starts. The Blue Jays traded away one of their best hitters in Eric Sogard yesterday so I expect Keller to be able to handle this lineup tonight at home.

Top Hitters

Justin Turner ($5,200) vs Rockies
Turner has been playing some pretty good baseball in the middle of a loaded Dodgers lineup. He comes int this one with a run scored in 7 of his last 8 games with 3 HRs and 5 RBIs in those games. He will get the best of two worlds tonight. He will get to play at hitter friendly Coors Field and he will be up against Rockies SP Jon Gray who he has seen well over the years. Turner is hitting .320 with three 2Bs and a walk in 30 career PAs. His price is inflated tonight for these reasons but I still think this is a good spot for him.

Anthony Santander ($4,600) vs Padres
Anthony Santander has been red hot for the Orioles who have surprisingly been pretty solid on offense as of late. Coming into tonight’s game Santander has at least 1 hit in 10 of his last 12 games and in those games he has 11 R 4 HRs and 14 RBI’s. His price has thus jumped to this level and it hasn’t looked like anyone can slow him down. Paddack has been solid for the Padres but he hasn’t gone deep into games and their bullpen has really struggled so I think he will have plenty of opportunities tonight on the road.

A.J. Pollock ($4,400) vs RockiesPollock has missed a lot of the season due to injury but we know how good he can be with the bat and a trip to Coors Field may get that going. He, like Turner, has also seen the ball well vs Jon Gray hitting .429 with four 2Bs in 14 career ABs vs the right hander. There isn’t a lot to go off here besides that but at this price I am still confident in Pollock’s abilities.

Brian Dozier ($3,400) vs BravesDozier is dirt cheap tonight especially for guy coming off two multi-hit games in his last series including yesterday when he scored 2 runs with a HR. He has seen lefty pitching extremely well this year, .325 with 5 HR and 17 RBIs this season, and he has really seen Braves SP Dallas Keuchel well. In 15 career ABs Dozier is hitting a sky high .467 vs the left hander. At this price for a guy with those kind of #’s vs lefties and the starting pitcher this is a no brainer for me.
