Top Pitchers
Anthony DeSclafani ($8,300) vs Angels–DeSclafani has been a very good fantasy pitcher since about June. Since June 6thhe has scored 15+ FPTS in 7 of his 9 starts and has had some very big games. His strikeouts are inconsistent but he has shown that he can run them up with 11,9,7,6 in 4 of his last 6 starts. He will be up against the Angels this evening who boast an average offense and if we see DeSclafani limit the hits like he has been we could be in for yet another solid fantasy performance. Aside from 3 or 4 guys the pitching is kind of weak tonight so getting DeSclafani at this price feels like a good option tonight.
Ryan Yarbrough ($7,800) vs Blue Jays– Yarbrough hasn’t been a name a lot of people have talked about but he has been a very good pitcher for the Rays this season. He comes into tonight’s game with 19+ FPTS in 3 of his last 4 starts and has scored over 18 in 5 of his last 7. Yarbrough doesn’t pitch a lot, usually hovers around 80 pitches, but he has been really effective allowing 4 or less hits in 4 of his last 5 starts and he doesn’t allow many batters to get on via the walk. His last start against the Blue Jays he went 5.1 innings allowed 4 hits and only 1 ER which netted 19 FPTS and I am hoping we get something in that range again tonight pitching at home.

Starling Marte ($5,300) vs Brewers– Starling Marte has been red hot for the Pirates in the second half and especially in his most recent games. Coming into this one Marte has 7 RBIs and 2 HRs to go along with 3 steals in his last 4 games. He hit hitting it well, which is great, but what is even better is the pitcher he is going up against tonight. He will be up against Chase Anderson who Marte is hitting .441 against with three 2Bs, one 3B, and two HRs in 34 career ABs. The #’s are outstanding so the $5,300 price doesn’t scare me here.
Jonathan Villar ($4,500) vs Yankees– Fresh off hitting for the cycle I like Villar to continue his quality play vs the Yankees. Coming into tonight’s game he has a hit in 9 of his last 11 games and has continued to score runs in bunches near the top of the Orioles lineup every night. He has everything going for him right now and with the addition of his speed he could easily outperform his price in this spot vs the Yankees.
Jose Abreu ($3,800) vs Tigers– Abreu has continued to come through for us in recent days so no stopping now. He has at least 1 hit in 4 of his last 5 games and went 2/4 with a run scored and an RBI last night. This is the 2ndgame of a double header so I would check to make sure he is in the lineup for the second game but if he is this price is pretty good for him. When he is hitting it well he is a top 15 1B in the game and he is not priced like that tonight.
Miguel Rojas ($3,400) vs Mets– Miguel Rojas does nothing but hit. Coming into tonight’s game he has at least 1 hit in 11 of his last 12 games and has scored a total of 9 runs in that time frame. That is where you are going to get your value from him and he is going up against a familiar face on the mound for the Mets. In 12 career PAs vs Zack Wheeler Rojas is hitting .364 with 2 HRs, while he is not a power hitter seeing that number makes me like him even more at this very reasonable $3,400 price point.
