Point Guards
- Trae Young
- De’Aaron Fox
- Spencer Dinwiddie
- Eric Bledsoe
- Malcolm Brogdon
- Terry Rozier – GPP
- Reggie Jackson
- Markelle Fultz – GPP
- Ricky Rubio – GPP
- Goran Dragic
- Seth Curry
- Jalen Brunson
- Kendrick Nunn – GPP
Analysis: Trae Young steps in as the more expensive point guard option, and is worth every penny averaging over 50 fantasy points per game in the last two weeks. Orlando does rank 10th against opposing point guards, but not really a huge concern with his usage. Malcolm Brogdon is averaging 37 fantasy points per game in the last ten games, and is sitting under $7,000. Love the potential he has tonight against a mediocre Brooklyn defense. Reggie Jackson and Markelle Fultz are nicely priced. Jackson has been playing well as the Pistons don’t have a ton of scoring options anyway. Fultz gets Atlanta, who rank 25th against opposing point guards. Spencer Dinwiddie gets a bump with Irving out, averaging 1.22 FPPM with him off the court and a 32% usage. We get the cheap Dallas options again tonight, as Brunson averages 1.00 FPPM with Doncic off, and Curry sees a bump in usage as well. Goran Dragic has been the more efficient fantasy play of late. They get bumps if Butler sits again, and Nunn is just a GPP option.
Shooting Guards
- Devin Booker – GPP
- Khris Middleton
- Donovan Mitchell
- Fred VanVleet
- Buddy Hield – GPP
- Caris LeVert
- Terrence Ross
- Damion Lee – GPP
- Malik Beasley
- Bruce Brown
- Duncan Robinson – If Butler Is Out
Analysis: If this Suns game stays close, Devin Booker is likely the reason. He has a 30% usage rate, and the Lakers rank 21st against opposing shooting guards. $8,000 is not a bad price tag with his upside, but I will reserve for tournaments only. Donovan Mitchell is in a sneaky good spot against a below average backcourt defense in Dallas. Mitchell has a 30% usage rate this season and is averaging 38 fantasy points per game in the last two weeks. Caris LeVert continues to crush with Irving out, and sees over a 30% usage rate. If Giannis sits tonight we are shifting most of our focus to Khris Middleton and Eric Bledsoe. Both average over 1.40 FPPM and see a 30%+ usage with him off the court. Fred VanVleet gets a big bump if the Raptors names sit out tonight. He sees a 28% usage with Lowry off and averages 1.12 FPPM.
Small Forwards
- LeBron James
- Pascal Siakam
- Andrew Wiggins – GPP
- Kelly Oubre – GPP
- Bojan Bogdanovic
- T.J. Warren
- Tim Hardaway Jr
- Derrick Jones – GPP
- OG Anunoby
Analysis: With Giannis questionable in a game against Sacramento, LeBron James is going to be looked at more. He gets Phoenix who rank 21st against point guards, and James is of course one of the safer options on the slate. Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre are both strong plays for the position, but there are a few others at their price range I would look at more so, especially Wiggins price tag. Oubre is in a better spot with the Lakers below average defense against small forwards. I am looking at some cheaper options like TJ Warren who bounced back from his concussion with a strong game. He is below $6,000 and averaging over 25 fantasy points in the last two weeks. Tim Hardaway Jr has seen a 23% usage rate with Doncic off the court, which is a slight bump for him. If Lowry sits out, he would join Powell and Gasol. OG Anunoby and Pascal Siakam are strong plays already against this Minnesota defense.
Power Forwards
- Anthony Davis
- Kristaps Porzingis
- Christian Wood – GPP
- Domantas Sabonis
- Serge Ibaka
- Aaron Gordon
- Nemanja Bjelica
- Paul Millsap – GPP
- Jerami Grant
Analysis: Anthony Davis is averaging 53 fantasy points over the last two weeks and gets a Phoenix front court he can dominate with ease. Not a bad pay up option here. I really like Domantas Sabonis in this spot, but at $9,600 on DK that is too pricey for me. I prefer him on FanDuel at $7,800. Brooklyn ranks 25th against opposing PF. Aaron Gordon is in a great spot against the Hawks, who rank dead last against opposing power forwards. The Christian Wood upside should continue tonight against Charlotte, as Wood is showcasing his worth now that Drummond is fully gone. Jerami Grant and Paul Millsap both are cheap and Grant will log the heavier of minutes making him a safe play, but Millsap is an interesting pivot. Even though it is a tough Utah defense, they are on a back to back and Porzingis has a 29% usage rate with Doncic off and averages 1.45 FPPM.
Centers
- Nikola Jokic
- Karl-Anthony Towns
- Nikola Vucevic
- Rudy Gobert
- Marquese Chriss – GPP
- Myles Turner
- Dewayne Dedmon
Analysis: Nikola Jokic is averaging 60 fantasy points per game over the last two weeks, and the Spurs rank 29th against centers. I am not in love with this game overall, but the bigs from Denver are in a great spot. It is a tough matchup for Towns on paper, but averaging 1.51 FPPM and a 30% usage rate put him on the map of course. We can continue to target the Hawks with bigs even with Dedmon there. Vucevic is a strong play if you don’t want to pay up for Towns/Jokic. Myles Turner and Dedmon are both fairly cheap and have block shot appeal tonight on FD. Marquese Chriss is still not someone I fully trust, but the upside is there for cheap.
