NBA DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks 2/18/21

Point Guard

Fred VanVleet ($7,900) vs Bucks- Fred VanVleet continues to be great for the Raptors alongside Kyle Lowry. Lowry is questionable for this game, and if he doesn’t play VanVleet showed on Tuesday night that he can take the full load. In that game he scored 33 PTS with 7 AST and 4 REB and Lowry missed the entirety of the 2nd half with an ankle injury. The Bucks defense has been down this year and with OG Anunoby back in the lineup that should open up things even more for FVV. In this 3 game slate I think we are getting a very fair price here.

Shooting Guard

Donte Divincenzo ($5,400) vs Raptors- Donte has been up and down this year but it is encouraging that he has been able to stuff that stat sheet for fantasy owners. He comes into this game averaging 11.4 PPG 5.2 RPG 3.4 APG and 1.2 SPG while shooting 38.7% from behind the arc. That is good for 26.7 FPPG and the good news is he is doing that with not shooting the ball particularly well from the field. In his last game vs the Raptors he logged 8 assists and while I wouldn’t expect that every night, it is an encouraging sign. At this price I would take a long look at him.

Small Forward

Kyle Kuzma ($6,700) vs Nets- Kyle Kuzma didn’t see a huge boost with the injury to Anthony Davis but against the Nets I think anybody could be bound to explode on the offensive end. In the last 5 games he is averaging 14.4 PPG 8.0 RPG and is shooting 50% from the field for 28.8 FPPG. The Nets are awful on the defensive end and give up a lot of open shots. With the injury to AD the Lakers are going to have to look for offense in other places and I think it could come from Kuzma here.

Power Forward

Bobby Portis ($5,100) vs Raptors- Bobby Portis has been having a great year off the bench for the Bucks this season. In the last 5 games alone he is putting up 14.2 PPG 6.4 RPG and has shot 50% from behind the arc. His minutes have seen a little bit of a bump lately and he has shot it over 11 times in each of the last 3 games. He won’t “wow” you with anything but in a 3 game slate he could be very valuable if he keeps up this production. I would ride the hot shooting wave with Portis here.

Center

Bam Adebayo ($8,200) vs Kings- Bam Adeabyo has been elite for the Heat and I am easily inserted him into my lineup tonight. He is averaging 40+ FPTS in each of his last 5 games and he has been stuffing the stat sheet. He blocks shots and plays a little bit of a role like Domontas Sabonis, who I love, does. His assist numbers have been high and his rebound numbers have been higher lately than we have seen in the past. The Kings defense is awful and they lack a lot of strength on the defensive end in the front court. Even though this is the 2nd game of a back-to-back I think Bam should easily give us value here.

Sleeper Play

Cory Joseph ($3,900) vs Heat- Cory Joseph was struggling to find consistent playing time but over the last 3 games he hasn’t received less than 27 minutes and he has produced for fantasy owners.  He hasn’t scored less than 22.25 FPTS in those 3 games including 32 FPTS int their last game vs the Nets. He is active in the steal department and is shooting the ball superbly. At only $3,900 I would take a flyer on him in this small of a slate.
