“Captain”
Kyle Lowry ($11,700) vs Warriors– Despite the injury to his hand Kyle Lowry has been very effective in the playoffs. In the last 4 playoff games Lowry is averaging 17.5 PPG 6.3 APG and 5.3 RPG and is shooting the ball at a 44% clip from behind the arc. As I always say the notion that Lowry doesn’t show up in the playoffs is overblown as he has been one of the most consistent point guards in the playoffs this year. With a 35.7 FPPG average in the last 4 games and with him only scoring less than 30 FPTS once in the last 10 games I have no issues picking Lowry as my “captain” tonight in game 1 at home.
Standard Play
Klay Thompson ($8,400) vs Raptors– Kevin Durant will once again be out for the Warriors tonight so that means Klay will have free reign to get up 20+ shots like he has in each of the last 6 games for Golden State. They have had a lot of time off so he should have fresh shooting legs and be able to let it fly without much issue. Also he has been impressive on the defensive end racking up 2+ steals 3 of his last 4 games. Like Lowry, Klay Thompson has also been very consistent with 31.75+ FPTS in each of his last 6 games and we all know what can happen if he gets on one of his grooves. Look for Klay to get it up early and often tonight in Toronto.
Standard Play
Draymond Green ($10,600) vs Raptors– Draymond Green has been nothing short of spectacular over the course of the playoffs for the Warriors. And in the last two games he has been an elite level fantasy performer averaging 19.0 PPG 13.5 RPG and 11.5 APG which was good for 65.9 FPPG. These are the types of performances that we saw from Draymond Green a couple years ago and the really good sign for Warriors fans is that he is shooting the ball very efficiently only logging 3 games under 50% shooting in his last 10 contests. While he isn’t shooting much from the outside the ability to finish at the rim has proven valuable for the Warriors especially as they are missing some key pieces in their offense. Draymond is very expensive for this game but I don’t think we can afford to miss out on another 60+ fantasy point performance if we want to do some damage tonight.
Standard Play
Serge Ibaka ($4,200) vs Warriors– Serge showed flashes in the Raptors last series vs the Bucks but in this series vs the Warriors I think he could be forced to see the floor more with the way that the Warriors play. It is possible Marc Gasol could be forced off the court if the play gets going too fast and Ibaka offers what the Raptors may need with his athleticism, defense, and ability to shoot from outside. He is only priced at $4,200 coming off the bench in game 1 but I think he could eclipse 25 minutes tonight and provide lots of value in this particular spot.
