DraftKings NFL Daily Fantasy Cash Game Picks Week 14
Contents
Quarterbacks
Aaron Rodgers ($7,500) vs Lions- Aaron Rodgers has been on fire as of late for the Packers and has entered the MVP conversation. He has 36 TDs and 4 INTs on the season and hasn’t scored less than 23.5 FPTS in his last 7 starts. He will be up against a Detroit Lions squad that just fired their coach and has struggled to stop anybody this season. In their week 2 matchup the Packers put up 42 points and I expect another big game for Green Bay this week, especially with a roster that is very healthy at the moment.
Matt Ryan ($5,700) vs Chargers- The Falcons haven’t been winning a lot of games but Matt Ryan has been playing pretty well. His WRs have been banged up all year but Julio Jones returned to the lineup last week and it seemed to help him out. The Chargers are banged up on the defensive side of the ball and with their above average offense, this could be a very high scoring matchup. With Ridley and Julio in the lineup I have no reason to believe Matt Ryan can’t put up good numbers against this defense.
Running Backs
James Robinson ($7,500) vs Titans- One of the biggest surprises of the fantasy season has been the play of Jaguars rookie RB James Robinson. He will likely eclipse 1000 yards rushing this week and he has been a godsend for fantasy owners. He comes into this game red hot, scoring 22.8+ FPTS in each of the last 2 games. This week he will be up against a Titans that ranks 26th vs RBs this season on DK and have allowed over 115 yards rushing per game this season. Look for Robinson to keep producing this week.
Melvin Gordon III ($5,200) vs Panthers- Melvin Gordon still shares time with Phillip Lindsay but he has been able to stay productive. He is coming off of a great game where he had 15 carries for 131 yards, this makes it two of the last 3 games where he has scored more than 18.2 FPTS. The Panthers come into this game allowing the 4th most FPTS to opposing RBs this season and with that in mind I think I am willing to roster Melvin Gordon this week. He has 7 TDs on the year and if the Broncos offense can get it going a little bit vs the Panthers that will greatly benefit Melvin.
Wide Receivers
Julio Jones ($6,600) vs Chargers- Julio Jones missed week 12 due to injury but he returned in week 13 and had a solid game catching 6 of 10 targets for 94 yards. The Chargers matchup looks tough on paper but the reality is, the Chargers are banged up and Casey Hayward hasn’t been performing as well as we have seen in previous years. The offenses in this game are much better than the defenses, so I expect a high scoring game and Julio to have a big game.
Keke Coutee ($5,000) vs Bears- Will Fuller will miss the rest of the season due to a suspension and last week it looked like the WR that will benefit the most will be Keke Coutee. He caught 8 of 9 targets for 141 yards and showed some good chemistry with QB Deshaun Watson. The Bears matchup is tough but the Lions were able to get things going through the air vs them last week and with the way Watson is playing, I think he can too. His price has jumped $1,500 after he performance last week but I think there is still value to be had here.
Tight End
Mike Gesicki ($4,500) vs Chiefs- Tua returned to the lineup for the Dolphins last week and it looked like it helped out Mike Gesicki. Gesicki was targeted a team high 11 times and racked up 9 catches with 88 yards and a TD. He has a TD in each of the last two games and if the game script goes as planned they will have to throw early and often to keep up with the Chiefs. Kansas City ranks 25th vs opposing TEs so given that and the way this game should go, we could see a lot of Gesicki on Sunday.
Defense
Carolina Panthers D/ST ($2,900) vs Broncos- The Panthers had a bye last week and will return to play to take on the Denver Broncos at home. The Broncos offense hasn’t been anything special this season and even though the Panthers have had issues in the past, they are coming off two games scoring 19 and 17 FPTS. They have been able to get to the QB and forced a good amount of turnovers. Drew Lock has shown that he can turn it over and bunches so I am willing to take a chance here on Carolina at this price.
