DraftKings NFL Daily Fantasy Cash Game Picks Week 16

Quarterbacks

Ryan Fitzpatrick ($6,000) vs BengalsFitzpatrick was good once again last week scoring 21 FPTS against the Giants with two touchdown passes. He has continued to put up good games for the Dolphins with lots of opportunities because the Dolphins have been down in games and their run game is so bad. They will be up vs the Bengals this week who have a mediocre defense this season and with Devante Parker healthy again that increased Fitz’s value. There should be lots of throwing in this game and that is why I like someone proven like Fitzpatrick on Sunday.

Gardner Minshew II ($5,500) vs FalconsSince becoming the starting quarterback again Minshew has thrown 4 TD passes and only 1 INT. The Jaguars have lost all of those games but he has been forced to throw over 30 times per game on average. The Falcons defense is missing some key pieces and rank 24th in the NFL against QBs on DK this season. Minshew isn’t the safest pick but at this price against the Atlanta defense I think there is some upside here especially if DJ Chark returns to the lineup.

Running Backs

Saquon Barkley ($8,300) vs RedskinsWe saw vintage Barkley last week against the Dolphins when he ran for 112 yards with 2 TDs and 4 receptions for 31 yards which was good for 33.3 FPTS. He should have another opportunity to have a good game against a Redskins rush defense that is one of the worst in the league ranking 27th this season on DK. Barkley is an elite talent and he missed the chance to play them due to injury earlier this season. Getting Barkley vs a defense that is allowing 136.4 yards per game this season on the ground feels like a no brainer to me.

Austin Ekeler ($6,100) vs RaidersEkeler has done a little of it all this season rushing for 500 yards with 892 yards receiving as well with 11 total TDs. It looks like the Chargers are back to giving Ekeler lots of chances to catch the ball out of the backfield, 21 targets in the last 4 games. He has made the most of them as well averaging no less than 12.4 YPR in those games. Melvin fumbled again last week so we may even see more of him this week. The Raiders defense has had issues over the past month or so allowing big plays and Ekeler is one of the best big play guys on the Chargers offense.

Latavius Murray ($5,100) vs TitansMurray has been very inconsistent with touches when Alvin Kamara is the lineup but I think he could be in a better spot these last two weeks of the regular season. Kamara has been banged up this year and it could be possible where we see him get less touches to save him for what they expect to be a late playoff run. It’s a tough risk to take if that doesn’t happen but his rush attempts have gone up in each of the last 3 weeks and if he can get going he can be very valuable at this price.

Wide Receivers

A.J. Brown ($7,000) vs SaintsTitans rookie wide receiver AJ Brown has been on fire with Ryan Tannehill at quarterback. Brown has scored no less than 26.5 FPTS in 3 of his last 4 games and was targeted a season high 13 times last week vs the Texans. They will be up against the Saints secondary that has been up and down this season ranking 24th vs opposing WRs on DK this season. Brown is just playing too good right now, 114+ yards in 3 of the last 4 games, to pass up even though his price has swelled all the way to $7,000.

Keenan Allen ($6,300) vs RaidersAfter struggling a little bit in the middle of the season, Keenan has picked up his play and it has rewarded fantasy owners as of late. He hasn’t scored less than 13.3 FPTS in any of his last 5 games and despite the Chargers struggling they are still throwing it a lot with Philip Rivers. In their last game vs the Raiders Kennan was able to grab 8 of 11 targets for 68 yards along with a 18 yard rush. The Raiders secondary is porous and a receiver of Allen’s level should be able to take advantage this Sunday.

Curtis Samuel ($4,500) vs ColtsDJ Moore is the clear number 1 WR on the Panthers offense but Curtis Samuel has been a very solid 2nd option in that WR group. Samuel has scored 16+ FPTS in 2 of his last 3 games and they should be able to do a lot this week vs the Colts. The Colts come into this week’s game allowing the 4th most FPTS to WRs this season on DK and are coming off a game where they were torched by Drew Brees and the Saints. Kyle Allen is no Drew Brees but he has shown the ability to throw the ball well over the course of this season.

Tight End

Dallas Goedert ($4,100) vs CowboysWhen I don’t want to roster an elite level TE I always seem to end up on Dallas Goedert. He has been great in a complimentary role behind Zach Ertz. This is partly due to the numerous injuries to the pass catchers of the Eagles and they are down to guys who weren’t even on the team to start the season. The Cowboys are allowing the 3rd most fantasy points to TEs this season and in Goedert’s last game vs Dallas he was great with 69 receiving yards and a TD on the night. This is a must win for the Eagles and when they get near the red zone Goedert is one of Wentz’s top targets. I like Goedert’s price this week in this matchup.

Defense

Seattle Seahawks D/ST ($3,700) vs CardinalsThe Cardinals offense got the best of the Browns last week but they will face a tougher test this week against the Seahawks on the road. In the Seahawks last matchup vs the Cardinals their defense racked up 16 FPTS with 4 sacks. Kyler Murray has been getting sacked a lot this season and on the road I think we could see even more of that. Seattle’s price is very fair this week and with their proven success vs the Cardinals I like them in this spot at home.
