DraftKings NFL Daily Fantasy Cash Game Picks Week 2

Quarterbacks

Russell Wilson ($6,500) vs Patriots– Russell Wilson was excellent in week 1 vs the Falcons throwing for 322 yards and 4 TDs with a 88% completion percentage. He scored 34.78 FPTS and I don’t see why he wouldn’t be able to put up big numbers again vs the Patriots on Sunday night. Statistically their defense did well but it was against a Miami Dolphins offense that is far from good and has nowhere near the playmakers that Seattle has. At this price I think we are getting the a top 3 QB in the league so I have no fear with him in the lineup.

Matthew Stafford ($6,200) vs PackersMatthew Stafford had a tough matchup in week 1 vs the Bears without his #1 receiver and still put up some decent numbers throwing for 297 yards and a touchdown vs the best defense in the NFL. He will get a much easier matchup this week vs the Packers who allowed 30+ points last week and has shown that it can be weak at times defending the pass. With the way the Lions defense is playing this could turn into a shootout which is why I want Stafford in my lineup this week.

Running Backs

Todd Gurley II ($6,100) vs CowboysTodd Gurley played his first game for the Falcons last week and put together a solid performance with 56 rushing yards and a touchdown. He should continue to be a threat near the goal line and his 4 YPC is encouraging vs the Seahawks defense. The Cowboys defense come into this game after allowing 153 yards on the ground to the Rams and multiple touchdowns to Rams RB Malcolm Brown. Knowing this I like Gurley on Sunday afternoon vs a struggling and beat up Cowboys defense.

Malcolm Brown ($5,700) vs EaglesThere is a lot of questions about whose going to get the most work out of the Rams backfield and in week 1 it was Malcolm Brown who finished the game with 18 carries for 79 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught 3 balls for 31 yards. There is always risk because he’s not technically the “starter” but after what we saw in week 1 I think he is going to get enough to work to be a valuable fantasy asset. Brown looks like the goal line back and I will take him vs a Eagles defense that didn’t look the greatest vs Washington in week 1.

Wide Receivers

Adam Thielen ($7,200) vs ColtsKirk Cousins wasn’t able to get things going for most of the day in week 1 but with Stefon Diggs moving on to Buffalo, Thielen was the go-to target with 6 catches on 8 targets for 110 yards and two TDs. Thielen has always been one of Cousins favorite targets but with the lack of WR weapons in Minnesota Thielen should be getting tons of work. The Colts defense struggled to slow down Gardner Minshew and the Jaguars in week 1 so if all goes as planned I think he should have a huge game vs the Colts.

CeeDee Lamb ($4,700) vs FalconsThere is a lot of weapons in Dallas but in his first career game Lamb seemed involved in the offense catching 5 balls on 6 targets for 59 yards on the day. The Cowboys will be up against a Falcons team that allowed Russell Wilson to pick them apart through the air. Lamb may be 3rd on the WR depth chart but his YAC ability on short crossing routes is why I want him in my lineup this week at home in a bounce back spot for the Cowboys.

Tight End

Dallas Goedert ($5,000) vs RamsDallas Goedert may be behind Zach Ertz on the depth chart but he looked like the go-to man in week 1. Goedert was targeted 9 times and caught 8 of them for 101 yards and a touchdown. Goedert showed flashes last year of being an elite pass catching TD and he picked right up where he left off in week 1. The Eagles are lacking talent in the WR department so it’s likely Ertz and Goedert will be targeted early and often so I like him this Sunday vs the Rams who should be putting tons of pressure on Wentz and force short passes.

Defense

Los Angeles Rams D/ST ($2,800) vs Eagles The Rams defense was pretty solid vs the Cowboys on Sunday night limited them to 17 points and forcing a lot of pressure. They should do the same vs the Eagles who are banged up on the offensive line and didn’t look that great vs the Redskins, who also have a strong defensive line. With Ramsey on the outside I think this could be a real struggle for the Eagles this week. There is just too much talent on the Rams end and injuries on the Eagles offense for me to pass up on them at this price Sunday.
