DraftKings Value GPP Picks Week 3: Russell Wilson Stack and Insane Running Back Value

This Week on DraftKings I am in love with the RB value offered to us. You can create tons of different lineups with an extremely solid baseline in the RB field. I will be offering you my value picks at WR, TE, DEF, and the Stack of the week to go along with this incredible RB value.

In a week where so many starters got injured, many of these top-priced RBs will not be as highly rostered. Many players for GPP will look for extremely cheap options with good workloads. This is great for you, as you will be able to take massive points home at very reasonable prices without having to worry about chalk.

Running Back Plays of the Week

Miles Sanders at $6,400 might be the most chalked out of the 4 RBs that I will talk about today. However, he has one of the best matchups for an RB against the Bengals. Last week both Chubb and Hunt put up 20 point weeks against this weak front 7. That should be huge news to you as Miles Sanders is not in a timeshare, so he will get the bulk of the workload and could easily score 30-40 points against the Bengals. He is a top 6 RB on the week, without the top 6 RB price and that is the reason that he is in all of my lineups.

Austin Ekeler at $6,800, Ekeler has literally the best matchup for an RB with his game against the Carolina Panthers. So far this season Ekeler has been the most efficient starting RB in football on the ground, averaging 5.8 yards per carry. However, what really pushes this play over the top is not the ground efficiency or great matchup. It is Justin Herbert. The fact that Taylor is out and Herbert is in is a huge bonus for you as last week Ekeler had 4 targets versus his measly 1 target with Taylor. Herbert will feed Ekeler through the air, where he shined, like his beautiful bald head, and tallied off 55 yards on those 4 targets. Austin Ekeler has a real shot at finishing as the RB1 on the Week and you can get him for under 7k.

Kenyan Drake at $6,000, Drake has had the two hardest matchups in football for an RB going against the San Francisco and Washington fronts. He has played okay, but not great, and this benefits you. Due to this slow start, he is priced behind 16 other healthy RBs; however, he gets to go against a Detroit defense who just gave up 40+ points to Aaron Jones. Kenyan Drake and this offense are every bit as good as Aaron Jones and the Packers’ and you need to take a chance on Drake this week. It is not often that you get a starting RB, for an elite offense, in a plus matchup, for $6,000 on DK.

Devin Singletary at $4,900, Singletary gets to play the Rams who have given up huge weeks to Elliot and Sanders already. However, I was not excited about this play until we found out that Zach Moss will be out for the game. This means that Singletary will be the workhorse back in this extremely juicy matchup against the Rams. Singletary had a great game last week but simply did not get enough work. However, that will not be a problem this week.

Value WRs of the Week

Darius Slayton at $4,900, Daniel Jones’ best weapon, Slayton, is fully healthy against an extremely beat up 49ers defense. Slayton will get the benefit of Shepard being out with injury, forcing Jones to go to Slayton more often. So far in two weeks against two top defenses, Slayton has put up an average of 18.8 points per game. I think that he raises his average against a weak 49ers’ secondary and has a gargantuan week. An absolute steal under 5k.

Diontae Johnson at $5,400. So far, through two weeks Diontae Johnson has indeed been Big Ben’s #1 WR. Now Johnson gets to be unleashed on a very mediocre Texans’ defense at an extremely good price point. When playing GPP you want to hit home run plays at good prices and there is no better example of this than Diontae Johnson. He will be getting huge amounts of targets and air yards in an extremely plus matchup.

TE Play of the Week

Logan Thomas, at $3,700, Thomas is tied with Terry McLaurin for the most amount of targets on the team at 17. It is obvious that Haskins trusts Thomas and will constantly look to him as a safety blanket. This is great for a PPR format like DraftKings, but you also get the bonus of red-zone targets. Against this weaker Browns’ defense, Thomas could easily end the day with two scores which is what you are looking for in your GPP play.

DST Play of the Week

Washington Football Team at $3,000, The Football Team has the scariest pass rush in the NFL sitting at a league-leading 11 sacks through two games. However, they also have been very efficient at stopping the run with their insane quartet of 1st round picks on the defensive line. The Browns want to run the ball and keep pressure off of an error-prone Baker Mayfield. They will fail to do both against this Washington team. They should be able to load up on sacks, and pressure Baker enough to turn the ball over during the game. They are one of my top defenses on the week and they sit at a crazy cheap cost of $3,000.

Stack of the Week

Russell Wilson at $7,300 and one of DK Metcalf at $6,500 or Tyler Lockett at $6,400. I recommend making identical lineups using DK Metcalf in one and Tyler Lockett in the other. It is hard to predict who has the explosive week, but both will be good plays. The Dallas Cowboys so far have shown that they have no defense. They let Matt Ryan shred them for 4 touchdowns and 273 yards. Wilson should be able to match every bit of that production, if not more this week. While this will be a popular stack, you should have enough low-ownage plays throughout your lineup to make up for it. A great play this week.
