Injury Report

  • Brandon Ingram – Questionable
  • DeMar DeRozan – Questionable
  • Jaylen Brown – Probable
  • Patrick Beverley – Out
  • Eric Gordon – Out
  • Thomas Bryant – Out
  • Kris Dunn – Out

Point Guards

  • Russell Westbrook
  • Damian Lillard
  • Ben Simmons – GPP
  • Kemba Walker
  • Lonzo Ball
  • Dejounte Murray – GPP
  • Ish Smith
  • Landry Shamet

Analysis: Damian Lillard is in the best spot of the night and is still playing lights out basketball. The Pelicans rank 29th against opposing point guards, and Lillard is averaging 1.36 FPPM on the season. Russell Westbrook has been playing well of late, averaging 55 fantasy points per game. Tougher matchup against Boston, but his price is still not bad for the way he is playing. If you want to drop down a bit, Ben Simmons is a nice tournament pivot away from the top priced options. I also like Kemba Walker in this spot against Houston which is a paced up game. Boston also has a 115 implied total. Lonzo Ball is averaging 37 fantasy points per game, and his price just doesn’t tend to budge. Portland ranks 25th against opposing point guards. Murray gets a bump with DeRozan likely out, and values like Ish Smith and Landry Shamet are worth playing too.

Shooting Guards

  • James Harden
  • Bradley Beal
  • Jrue Holiday
  • C.J. McCollum
  • Lou Williams – GPP
  • Josh Hart
  • Gary Trent
  • Furkan Korkmaz – GPP
  • Bryn Forbes

Analysis: James Harden is over $11,000, and not a must play for me. Hard to use him with Bradley Beal cheaper and averaging the same amount over the last two weeks. He also gets Chicago’s defense. Jrue Holiday is also in a good spot against Portland, who rank 28th against opposing shooting guards. C.J. McCollum averages 35 fantasy points per game, but lacks that true upside of some of the other names here. I prefer him more in cash games, but if he rounds out a GPP lineup, it isn’t the worst thing either. If Brandon Ingram is out again, Josh Hart is a better play. Bryn Forbes is a cheap option who will likely fill in for DeRozan tonight. Not a bad spot with OKC ranking 25th against opposing SG.

Small Forwards

  • Paul George
  • Tobias Harris
  • Gordon Hayward
  • Danilo Gallinari
  • Danuel House
  • Troy Brown
  • Chandler Hutchison

Analysis: With expensive positions elsewhere, I am going to focus on the value here. Chandler Hutchison is averaging over 25 fantasy points per game over the last two weeks. Washington ranks 24th against opposing small forwards. Troy Brown should see 25 minutes in a good spot against the Bulls, but I prefer Hutchison. Danuel House has been playing well, and his price tag is still solid. Small forward is where I would pay down a bit to help pay up at other positions. If you find yourself with some extra cash, Gordon Hayward is averaging 40 fantasy points per game over the last two weeks, and Houston ranks 19th against small forwards.

Power Forwards

  • Kawhi Leonard
  • Jayson Tatum
  • Zion Williamson
  • Davis Bertans
  • Thaddeus Young
  • Rui Hachimura

Analysis: This is another spot you can use for value, especially given center doesn’t have a lot of cheap options either. Rui Hachimura is averaging 26 fantasy points per game since returning, and is in a plus spot against Chicago. His price tag is really attractive as well. On the flip side of that game Thaddeus Young is another one averaging 26 fantasy points per game over the last two weeks. Davis Bertans is a strong play under $6,000. The Bulls-Wizards game is filled with cheap value in the front court. Zion Williamson, Jayson Tatum, and Kawhi Leonard are pay up option. Williamson is averaging 34 fantasy points per game, and Portland ranks 29th against opposing power forwards. Tatum is in a good spot as well, with Houston ranking 19th. Tatum is also averaging 47 fantasy points per game in the last two weeks.

Centers

  • Joel Embiid
  • Hassan Whiteside
  • Montrezl Harrell
  • Enes Kanter – GPP

Analysis: Joel Embiid hasn’t been playing all that well for fantasy production at his price, but this is a good spot. Embiid has a 31% usage which is by far the highest at the position. The Clippers also rank 18th against opposing centers. Hassan Whiteside is also a strong play with New Orleans struggling against opposing bigs. Whiteside is averaging 45 fantasy points per game in the last two weeks. Enes Kanter is an interesting GPP option given the Theis is back as well. He averages 1.25 FPPM and is a cheap option if you are going stars and scrubs.
