“Captain”
Tyler Herro ($12,900) vs Lakers– Tyler Herro was not very effective in game 1 vs the Lakers going 6/18 from the field with 14 PTS 4 REB and 3 AST. Overall it was a struggle for the Heat offense and it will be tough again tonight with the injuries that are hampering this team. Dragic is doubtful for this game so we will likely see Herro in the starting lineup and running the point a little bit. If Herro can get up 18 shots again tonight I am confident he will knock them down more efficiently and put up a very solid line for fantasy owners win or lose.
Standard Play
Anthony Davis ($12,200) vs Heat– Anthony Davis was a monster on Wednesday night going 11/21 from the field and picking up 34 PTS 9 REB 5 AST and 3 BLKs. There was little that the Heat could do inside and with Bam Adebayo doubtful I’m not sure the Heat will be able to find an answer. They have nobody who can match the size and athleticism of Davis and it was on full display Wednesday night. I see no reason why Anthony Davis couldn’t put up 50+ FPTS again tonight in game 2.
Standard Play
Rajon Rondo ($6,600) vs Heat– Rondo won’t “wow” us with any of the stats he puts up but off the bench he can supply the Lakers with some much needed playmaking and he generally fills up the stat sheet in his 20 or so minutes per game. In game 1 he had 7 PTS 4 AST and 3 REB but in previous games in the playoffs he has shown he can do even more with assists and even shooting the ball, which is a strong development from what we saw from him pre-bubble. The price is a bit steep but if he gets it going I think there could be some value here.
Standard Play
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope ($5,100) vs Heat– Caldwell-Pope doesn’t do much other than shoot 3 pointers for this Lakers team but if the Heat throw multiple bodies at LeBron and Davis that will open things up for Caldwell-Pope to hit some open 3s. He wasn’t great, 3/10, in game 1 but he was still able to rack up 22 FPTS so if he gets his shot going tonight he will be a steal at this price point.
Standard Play
Kendrick Nunn ($5,000) vs Lakers– It’s unclear how many minutes Kendrick Nunn will get tonight but with the injury to Goran Dragic it is likely he will receive a lot more especially with how he played at the end of game 1. Nunn finished with 18 PTS and 5 REB on 8/11 from the field and was providing the offense the Heat were missing for most of the game. Pre-Bubble Nunn was one of the best players on the Heat and if he can show that form again getting Nunn at only $5,000 is a great deal given his ability to score the basketball.
