NBA DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks 12/9/19

Point Guard
Ricky Rubio ($7,000) vs Timberwolves– Tomorrow will be another day where I have Ricky Rubio in my lineup. He has 13+ assists in 3 of his last 4 games and he has shown the ability to get into double digit scoring so he is always a threat for a double-double. The jump shot hasn’t been falling consistently though as of late but I like how he has still shot it a lot, 16 and 15 attempts in the last two games. The Wolves will be coming off a game last night and overall have not played well vs opposing point guards allowing the 7th most fantasy points on DK to them. Rubio’s price keeps going up but at $7,000 I think he is still worth a look.
Shooting Guard
Alec Burks ($5,500) vs Grizzlies– Alec Burks has been the one consistent scoring option for the Warriors so far this year and whenever D’Angelo Russell is in the lineup he is still able to produce at a pretty good level. He comes into this one averaging 15.0 PPG 3.4 RPG and 2.8 APG in his last 5 games and is shooting a solid 47% from the field. He won’t fill up the stat sheet but given what he has done recently and his role as a scorer in this offense that needs points wherever they can get it I think he is a very good option at $5,500. Also, the Grizzlies defense leaves a lot to be desired so I believe Burks will have a good game tonight.
Small Forward
Khris Middleton ($6,600) vs Magic– Khris Middleton returned from injury a week or so ago and he has been shooting the lights out ever since. In the last 5 games Middleton is averaging 15.4 PPG 5.8 RPG and 4.2 APG while shooting 58% from the field and 46.7% from behind the arc. Those numbers are excellent and if we have the opportunity to get an all-star level player at only $6,600 I’m going to take it. The Magic’s overall defense is pretty solid but with most of the focus put on Giannis I think we have Middleton at a good spot here.
Power Forward
Pascal Siakam ($7,900) vs Bulls– Pascal Siakam comes into this game averaging almost 40 FPPG in his last 5 games and he continues to be the key player in the Raptors offense. He has shot it almost 100 times in those 5 games and along with his scoring he has also grabbed 9.2 RPG. Siakam continues to get better every season and getting him vs a Bulls team that plays absolutely no defense for only $7,900 feels like a steal in my opinion. Kyle Lowry will likely take some shots away from him now that he is back from injury but not enough to sway me off this pick.
Center
Andre Drummond ($10,100) vs Pelicans– Drummond is probably the best rebounder in basketball and he has shown it this season. He comes into this one averaging 17.8 PPG and 17.0 RPG and has even added 2.8 BPG and 2.4 SPG. Those numbers are monstrous and it is the reason he is averaging over 53 fantasy points per game. The Pelicans are beat up in the front court and with Derrick Favors having been out for weeks, listed as questionable tonight, they are down to rookie Jaxson Hayes. Hayes is a good player but he doesn’t have the strength to match up with Drummond and he should be able to dominate the glass. The matchup is too good to pass up here in my opinion.
Sleeper Play
Kevin Porter Jr. ($3,800) vs Celtics– Cavs rookie Kevin Porter Jr. has been getting some more playing time lately and he has taken advantage. He has played at least 20 minutes in each of the last 3 games and hasn’t scored any less than 18 FPTS in those contests. He has grabbed at least 4 rebounds in all 3 games which is a good sign and he has shot it at almost 50% from the field. There is risk with pretty much any player that is priced this low but knowing that he has played better as of late I am willing to take a shot on the young rookie in order to roster some other big named players in my lineup.
