Point Guard

Trae Young ($10,100) vs MagicTrae Young went off for the Hawks last night scoring 48 PTS with 13 AST with 6 three pointers made. It is a bit worrisome that he played 48 minutes in the 2OT game but he is so involved in their offense I think he will still be a very good option. He has been playing excellent as of late putting up 34.2 PPG 10.0 APG and 4.0 RPG in his last 5 games for Atlanta. The Magic defense is decent vs the point guard but with Young’s deep shooting ability and his ability to get to the line early and often on his drives makes me think he will be able to take advantage tonight.

Shooting Guard

Terence Davis ($4,800) vs TimberwolvesDavis went undrafted but he has turned into a valuable piece of the Raptors offense. He is averaging 14.0 PPG and 4.2 RPG while shooting an amazing 58.1% from behind the arc in his last 6 games. With 3 of his last 4 games going over 35 FPTS I feel confident that Davis will continue to get good playing time and nobody is shooting better than him right now in the league. Getting Terence Davis at this price is a great value with the way he has been playing.

Small Forward

Caris LeVert ($7,000) vs PacersAnother player who has been playing well is Caris LeVert who is starting now with the injury to Kyrie Irving. His price has skyrocketed in his recent games but for good reason. He is averaging 19.6 PPG and 5.2 APG in the last 5 games and has gone 12/19 from behind the arc. He doesn’t shoot a lot of threes but his shooting paired with his playmaking is a deadly combo. He has been particularly good in his last 3 games putting up 45.75, 39.5, and 51.25 FPTS in each. He is a bit expensive but given the way he has played I am trusting him tonight.

Power Forward

Marquese Chriss ($5,800) vs HeatFormer lottery pick Chriss has had an interesting career thus far but on a undermanned Warriors team he has started to play pretty well. He is averaging 13.2 PPG and 6.2 RPG on 61.7% shooting in the last 5 games. He has also shot double-digit times in 3 of the last 4 which is a good sign for fantasy owners. The Heat have a good defense overall but they have allowed the 4th most FPTS on DK to opposing big men and given Chriss’s athleticism he could cause problems. Coming off of a game with 26 and 9 on 12/15 I think he can continue coming into tonight’s game.

Center

Serge Ibaka ($6,500) vs TimberwolvesWith the absence of Marc Gasol in the lineup, Serge Ibaka has stepped up well in a more scoring role. He has averaged 21.2 PPG and 6.5 RPG in his last 6 games and has been shooting it really well from behind the arc. The Timberwolves had a huge win vs the Clippers in their last game but this entire season they have been pretty weak on the defensive end so I expect them to come back down to earth tonight. Ibaka is a high floor big man with some upside because of his defense and shooting and I think he is a solid play vs the struggling Timberwolves.

Sleeper Play

Jordan Poole ($4,000) vs HeatPoole hasn’t played a lot this season but with the large amount of moves from the Warriors it looks like he will get a decent amount of playing time for the rest of the season. He is averaging 17.5 PPG and 3.5 RPG in the last two games where he has seen extended minutes and has shot it a total of 26 times in those games. His price has gone up but it is still relatively good. Poole was a scorer in college last season so I expect him to continue to get his shots up while he is playing good minutes for Golden State.
