NBA DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks 2/13/20

Point Guard
Dennis Schroder ($5,800) vs Pelicans– There is only two games in tonight’s slate on the final day before the all-star break so it’ll be important to find some lower ownership guys if you want to stick out. Schroder isn’t necessarily that guy but he comes in at a great price in this situation. He is averaging over 31 FPPG in his last 4 games and he is the main option off the bench for the Thunder. The Pelicans defense ranks 23rd in the NBA vs opposing guards on DK this season and coming off the bench I think Schroder will be able to get enough going to be of value here.
Shooting Guard
Landy Shamet ($4,800) vs Celtics– Shamet doesn’t do much other than shoot but he has been doing it at a very high level as of late. It was reported that Shamet was off limits in trade talks and for good reason. He is shooting over 45% from 3 in the last 5 games and is coming off a game where he went 5/9 from downtown. He’s been around 25 FPPG when he is shooting well so I expect something around that number tonight vs the Celtics in a game where both teams could be lacking on defense as they look ahead to the upcoming all-star break.
Small Forward
Kawhi Leonard ($9,100) vs Celtics– Whether Paul George is in the lineup or not, Kawhi shows up and does what he is going to do. In the last 4 games Kawhi is averaging 23.8 PPG 7.0 APG and 5.8 RPG while shooting 48% from behind the arc. Kawhi has become much more of a playmaker this year and fantasy owners have reaped the benefits. He hasn’t scored less than 41 FPTS in 10 straight games and has had 50+ in 6 of those 10. Kawhi is the highest priced player in this slate and for good reason given the lack of top tier options in these two games. Roster him with confidence tonight in Boston.
Power Forward
Marcus Morris Sr. ($5,000) vs Celtics– Since being traded to the Clippers at the deadline Morris hasn’t shot the ball incredibly well but he gets a good amount of shots up and has been a decent fantasy option. He’s scored 23 FPTS in each of the last two games going 5/12 from the field in both games. It’s good to see he is still getting up a good number of shots as well as him grabbing 4.5 RPG. $5,000 feels like a very low price for him tonight in this matchup vs his team from last season. I trust that as he gets more comfortable his shot will start falling and tonight could be the night.
Center
Steven Adams ($5,300) vs Pelicans– Besides Zion, Steven Adams is the highest priced center on tonight’s slate at the lowly price of $5,300. The Pelicans are not the biggest team in the league so I believe Steven Adams will be able to put up a solid game vs the likes of Derrick Favors and Jaxson Hayes. He has the strength advantage vs those two guys and Adams looks like he is getting back in his groove with 30+ FPTS in 2 of the last 3 games and double digit rebounds in the last two. Look for Adams to easily give a great return on investment at this price.
Sleeper Play
JJ Redick ($4,400) vs Thunder– Another shooter who has been playing well is JJ Redick. He is averaging 14.8 PPG in the last 5 while shooting 40% from 3 and has scored 18+ in each of the last 3 games. Redick has been doing some other things aside from scoring as of late which has increased his value and with only 2 games on the slate I think this is something we can see again. With Zion on the floor that opens up much more for the shooters on the Pelicans and could open up some easy assists as well, Redick has 11 in the last 3 games. The price is iffy here but I would be willing to put him on my roster vs the Thunder.
