Point Guard
Ja Morant ($7,200) vs Nets– Ja Morant is still the rookie of the year leader at this point of the season and for good reason. He comes into this game averaging 17.6 PPG 8.0 APG and 3.2 RPG on over 50% shooting in his last 5 contests. The Nets defense vs point guards has struggled all year, ranking 26th on DK this season, and coming off a tough game last night it’s hard to tell if they will be at their best. Morant just does too much for the offense of Memphis and in this matchup he has great value at this price.
Shooting Guard
Shabazz Napier ($5,000) vs Trail Blazers– Napier has been starting games for the Wizards but is playing second fiddle to Bradley Beal in the scoring department. However, that is not an issue and for a guy at this price point he is putting up some very respectable numbers. He is also averaging 2.4 SPG which is only a plus along with his 4 APG and around 10 PPG in his last 5 games. The Blazers defense leaves a lot to be desired so I think Napier could have a very solid night at this price.
Small Forward
Otto Porter Jr. ($5,400) vs Timberwolves– Otto Porter returned after missing almost 4 months of game action and was great scoring 18 PTS with 3 AST and 3 made 3s in only 17 minutes of game action. He is still on a minutes restriction but it is expected to go up in this game and luckily he will be up against the Wizards who have, probably the worst, defense in the NBA. They rank 28th vs forwards this season on DK and in his limited game action this year he has proven to be an elite shooter from behind the arc, 44.2%. There is value in the price if he gets hot from behind the arc and with this matchup I am willing to take the risk at only $5,400.
Power Forward
Zion Williamson ($8,000) vs Mavericks– Zion has been superb this season and he comes into this game averaging 28.2 PPG and 6.2 RPG on 60% shooting from the field in his last 5 games. He won’t do much from outside the paint but he is so dominant inside he can take advantage of almost any matchup. He has a clear strength advantage vs Porzingis and Kleber so I believe Zion will be able to continue what he has been doing. For a guy who is averaging over 40 FPPG in the last 5 games I believe this is a great price and if he gets more active on the glass he can well exceed his value here.
Center
Wendell Carter Jr. ($5,500) vs Timberwolves– Wendell Carter made his return to the lineup in the Bulls last game and put up a solid 7 PTS 6 REB in 23 minutes. He is expected to get an increase in minutes and over the course of the season he has almost averaged a double-double. He is very active on the glass and that will allow some more points to come his way. The Timberwolves have been starting rookie Naz Reid at center over the course of their recent games and I believe Carter Jr. can take advantage of that mismatch.
Sleeper Play
Josh Okogie ($4,300) vs Bulls– The Timberwolves have been down a lot of starters and one of the guys who has been getting some increased run as we start to close out the season is Josh Okogie. He is averaging over 26 minutes in the last 6 games for Minnesota and he has put up over 20 FPPG in those matchups. With two out of 3 games with double-digit points and over 5 rebounds at only $4,300 I am willing to take a shot on Okogie as a low cost utility option if you are looking to splurge in other ways on your lineup.
