“Captain”
Anthony Davis ($16,200) vs Nuggets- With only 1 game on the slate I will be playing the showdown captain mode and my captain tonight will be Anthony Davis. Davis has been dominant in the playoffs and in the last 3 games he is averaging near 50 FPPG. He has also played very good vs the Nuggets in the past averaging 29.3 PPG 9.3 RPG with more than 2 blocks a game as well. The price is steep here with him as the captain but with so little options I think it’s something that you have to do.
Standard Play
Jamal Murray ($10,000) vs Lakers– Jamal Murray has also been superb throughout the playoffs leading the Nuggets to an unlikely Western Conference finals berth. In the last 5 games he is averaging 23.8 PPG 5.0 RPG and 6.6 APG while shooting at a very impressive 50% from behind the arc. If the Nuggets want any chance to win they are going to need production from Murray and with the way he is shooting the ball I think he can give that to them. Once again the price is steep but very worth it in this format tonight.
Standard Play
Jerami Grant ($6,400) vs Lakers- Grant is probably the most underrated player for the Nuggets. He may not score a ton of points every night but he has shown that he can be relied on to hit a big shot and play above average on the defensive end of the floor. Even though he hasn’t been where we want him to on the offensive end the potential is there for him to break out and it could come tonight. He’s shooting 44% from 3 against the Lakers this season and with so much attention on Murray and Jokic he could get some easy looks from behind the arc.
Standard Play
Danny Green ($4,800) vs Nuggets- Danny Green has been up and down throughout the playoffs but it looks like he started to find his groove as of late. In the final 3 games of their previous series Green averaged near 20 FPPG and shot over 42% from behind the arc. Green mostly shoots three pointers so if he is starting to find his shot that could be great for fantasy owners. There is going to be some tough decisions to be made as you close out your lineup but I believe Danny Green should be in there.
Standard Play
Markieff Morris ($4,400) vs Nuggets- Morris wasn’t that involved in the offense for most of the season but over the course of their series vs the Rockets he stepped in and gave LA some very meaningful minutes. We should expect him to be around 20 minutes per game in this series and if he can keep his shot going like we saw he could be a steal at this price in a 1 game slate. Over the last 3 games he is shooting over 40% from 3 so we are going to give him a shot to put up some numbers on our roster tonight.
