Slate News, Injuries, Vegas Totals, & Weather
Small slate tonight with just five games, and it is better reserved for tournaments unless these arms become chalky cash game plays where it won’t matter if they blow up.
Cheat Sheet Notes: Players under cash are also viable in tournaments. Players listed under GPP are geared exclusively towards tournaments. Salaries from left to right are DraftKings to FanDuel.

Lineups Pitching Analysis
Not in love with pitching for cash games today, and I will be treading more in the direction of tournaments. There are a few ways you can go tonight, as a young arm in Mike Soroka takes on a Diamondbacks offense that gives up some strikeouts. Over a few 2019 starts, Soroka has a 27% strikeout rate, and is holding both sides of the plate to under a .250 wOBA. Arizona’s projected lineup strikes out at a 23% clip against right-handers. Taking pitchers against the Dodgers isn’t great most of the time, but they have some boom or bust bats in the lineup, and Corbin is a strikeout arm that helps his floor. He is holding lefties to a .257 wOBA and right-handers have a .298 wOBA. The Dodgers projected lineup has five bats, not including the pitcher, with over a 25% strikeout rate against left-handers.
Rich Hill is a strikeout arm, facing an offense that has five pitchers with over a 20% strikeout rate against southpaws. They also have the pitcher spot. If Hill has his good curveball tonight, then he has some upside potential. He is also a bust spot, which is why I don’t mind the right-handed bats for Washington either. Joe Musgrove is a two-pitcher site arm, going up against the Cardinals, who have had an excellent offense. Pitchers that dominate right-handed bats stand out to me against the Cardinals because they don’t have much from the left side of the plate, especially with Carpenter’s early struggles. Musgrove has held right-handers to a .224 wOBA and .067 ISO this season, and his strikeout rate sits at 23%.

Lineups Hitting Analysis
We can get the easy stack and team to target out of the way first. Mike Leake is a weak right-handed arm, who struggles to miss bats. He has allowed a .467 wOBA to right-handers and a .343 ISO. Lefties have a .352 wOBA and .235 ISO against him. Hard-contact is over 40% to both sides of the plate as well. J.A. Happ on the flip side is someone I don’t mind targeting this season. He has allowed a .352 wOBA and .265 ISO to right-handed hitters. Mitch Haniger, Edwin Encarnacion, Domingo Santana, and Tim Beckham all have over a .200 ISO against left-handed pitching this season.
I like the Pirates as a contrarian side tonight, mainly because they aren’t getting much love in the Vegas totals. The outfield and Josh Bell intrigue me the most here. Wacha has allowed a .380 wOBA and .247 ISO to right-handers. Lefties have a .333 wOBA and .178 ISO. I am not really in love with targeting Houston against Minor, but the main right-handed bats are still always worth a look. I much rather target some of the bats on Texas‘ side. Hunter Pence and Elvis Andrus both have over a .200 ISO against southpaws. Joey Gallo is always a worthy tournament play, even against left-handers with a .333 ISO.
Luke Weaver has flashed some big upside this season at times, but also has had some down starts as well. Tough matchup for him against the Braves, who are a great contact team. I do like the front four-five hitters in this spot, as they matchup well against Weaver. He throws mostly fastballs and cutters to right-handed hitters, and fastballs and changeups to lefties. Washington bats have pop against lefties, like Victor Robles, Anthony Rendon, Howie Hendrick, Brian Dozier, and Yan Gomes.
