Injury Report
- Brandon Ingram – Questionable
- Jaylen Brown – Probable
- Patrick Beverley – Out
Point Guards
- Chris Paul
- Lonzo Ball
- Kemba Walker
- Landry Shamet
Analysis: Just a two game slate tonight, and point guards are not priced up entirely high. Chris Paul is in the best spot against the Pelicans, who rank 20th against opposing point guards. Paul is also averaging 42 fantasy points per game over the last two weeks. Kemba Walker has a 28% usage this season, and while he is averaging 32 fantasy points per game over the last two weeks, he is averaging 1.19 FPPM on the season and should see healthy minutes tonight. Lonzo Ball is averaging 38 fantasy points per game over the last two weeks, and is only $6,600 on FD and $7,000 on DK. Landry Shamet will get a bump in minutes with Patrick Beverley out, even if he doesn’t start.
Shooting Guards
- Jrue Holiday
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
- Dennis Schroder – GPP
- Lou Williams
- Josh Hart
- Marcus Smart
Analysis: Jrue Holiday has been playing more consistently of late, averaging 35 fantasy points per game in the last two weeks. That is where most of the names have been here. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is cheaper on DK, and is averaging 36 fantasy points per game over the last two weeks and has a 23% usage rate. Dennis Schroder has a 26% off the bench, and gets a weak Pelicans defense to attack. I like him a lot tonight. Josh hart gets a bigger bump if Ingram is out. And is averaging 30 fantasy points per game in the last two weeks. If Brown is out, I like Smart on FD. The $5,700 price tag on DK is a bit high.
Small Forwards
- Paul George
- Gordon Hayward
- Danilo Gallinari
- Jaylen Brown – GPP
- Marcus Morris
Analysis: Paul George hasn’t had a ton of upside of late, but still someone to build around. He is averaging 39 fantasy points per game over the last two weeks, and his 32% usage Tough matchup on paper for Tatum and Hayward. Hayward has been excellent lately, and has picked up the slack during a stretch where Celtics were battling injuries. He has continued to carry that. Brandon Ingram and Jaylen Brown are game-time decisions tonight. And I like them more so in tournaments. Oklahoma City ranks 29th against opposing SF, so it is a good spot for Ingram. Marcus Morris is still in the lower $5,000 range, and is a strong value who projects for 25 fantasy points tonight.
Power Forwards
- Kawhi Leonard
- Jayson Tatum
- Zion Williamson
- Daniel Theis
Analysis: Kawhi Leonard is going to be the guy to build around, averaging 47 fantasy points per game over the last two weeks. He is averaging 1.53 FPPM and has a 35% usage rate. Jayson Tatum has ben on another level lately, and is averaging 46 fantasy points per game in the last two weeks. The Clippers rank 19th against opposing PF, and he has a 27% usage rate. Zion Williamson is coming off of a strong game, and has a 30% usage rate since returning from the injury. He is also averaging 1.32 FPPM. He is a safe play given his production. Daniel Theis is back and picked up where he left off. He contributes across the board, and is a strong play on both sites.
Centers
- Montrezl Harrell – GPP
- Steven Adams
- Derrick Favors
- Ivica Zubac – GPP
Analysis: Not a great center slate, but the advantage is that Steven Adams is back to playing normal minutes. He gets the Pelicans who rank 17th against opposing centers. Adams is below $5,500 and my favorite options on this slate. Derrick Favors is a better DK play where you can use him a bit more. He is averaging 23 fantasy points per game over the last two weeks. Th Clippers options are more tournament options. Zubac is starting, averaging 24 fantasy points per game, but his minutes are still fairly split. Harrell hasn’t seen heavy minutes either, and has had an up and down few weeks. Harrell is also a better play on DK with the $1,000 difference between his FanDuel price.
